  • "Worst phone I ever had!"
    on by artzvi84

    Pros None so far

Cons Everything on this phone is bad. The Lag is terrible, which makes the on-click feature worthless. The browser was better on both of my older phones. The camera is 2 megapixels, and has no features not even zoom. The keyboard is too small to use.

Summary This phone is terrible, I think that LG does not make good phones as I have tried out a prior LG model too. Take my advice and Stay away

  • "Have had a fantastic experience with this phone"

Pros First texting phone, thought smaller keys than big brothers would be problem but I like them. Great reception, Computer interface, like the AC /USB charge option. Camera res is fine.

Cons Manual could be more exhaustive on topics, but still sufficient. My wife would rather use my phone than hers, sometimes I have to wait!

Summary I came from a terrible experience with my last phone so I admit the Lotus may appear very bright against I dark backdrop, but I have no complaints. I have found the keys to be very friendly as opposed to touch keys which are more prone to mis-strikes for me.

  • "Great ideas, but poor execution."
    on by gratefuladdict

Pros This phone has a large, beautiful screen and a convenient customizable application carousel. It also has a good battery life (lasts all day even with heavy text/internet usage) and good sound quality.

Cons This phone has numerous inexplicable quirks, such as freezing or turning off at random. The browser appears to be the root of most of its problems - which is a dealbreaker for me, having chosen the phone for its messaging and internet capabilities.

Summary I loved this phone from the start. I loved its big screen and its messaging-centric configuration. It groups text messages by contact, which made it very easy to carry on a conversation over the course of hours or days without having to scroll through your inbox for the last relevant message. It was so convenient to customize the "carousel" tiles of applications, so that the features I used the most were the easiest to access.

But the honeymoon was shortlived. When I had owned the phone for about a week, I pulled it out of my purse and discovered it had turned off. Thinking I must have hit the power button somehow (even though the closed flip phone doesn't expose the power button), I shrugged it off and powered the phone back on. Over the six months I have owned the phone, this has gone from happening once every few weeks to about once per day.

My biggest complaint about the phone is its browser. When you press "End" to close the browser, the entire phone freezes until it has exited the browser. I timed it this morning, and it took 2 minutes and 18 seconds from the time I pressed "End" to shut off the browser and allow me to use the phone. In that time, the screen was backlit (even though I had closed the phone, which should have turned off the light). Not only is this frustrating, but it burns the battery faster.

I have also noticed that any interference with other functions while using the browser brings the phone to a screeching halt. Heaven forbid I receive a text message while I am browsing Facebook - the entire phone will freeze for a minute or two, and eventually either exit all applications, or just shut down.

I noticed that when I set the phone to vibrate, it still plays alert sounds (although down on level 1 or 2, versus the usual level 8). I have double-checked the settings and confirmed that my sound settings for every function are supposed to match the main volume setting of the phone. If I turn off vibration as well, at least, the phone stays silent.

Overall, it's a phone that makes great promises, but just does not deliver consistently. I am giving up on the Lotus.

  • "Great text messaging phone, horrible MP3 player"
    on by rluna0015

Pros In general this is a very nice phone, full of features, and makes text messaging easy and a pleasure. The phone has good reception and call quality. Music sound is so so.

Cons Load it with some songs (say, 1,700) and its performace suffers. It takes >30 sec to launch the player or navigate through tabs (Songs, Artists, Albums). To find a song you have to scroll down to it. Repeat and Shuffle do not work as expected.

Summary If you are looking for a phone and text messaging companion this is it. If you expect to get a reasonable MP3 player look elsewhere.

  • "Lotus LG phone review listed below."
    on by ratlifrf

Pros i am able to use this phone to call out and use the slow internet.

Cons The zoom sucks, it doesnt zoom in far enough, my port where I try and charge it is loose, you have to buy a certain adaptor just to have head phones work with the MP3.

Summary (continued from the Cons) The 2.0 megapixel could be updated, when you call a phone number (like an 800 # that has words such as 1-800-ABC-DEFG) you cant go by that..You have to figure that out by a regular phone and dial the correct numbers, the internet is slow. The phone cuts off on its own. The port where you put in your charger is hard to open so I had to take off the front, when I have full batteries, my phone breaks up and cuts off. I am disapointed with this phone but it gets me by. If I go to the Sprint store and complain, they will do nothing to help me out. I am stuck with this phone until I am able to have an upgrade. I personally would not recommend this phone unless you just need to make phone calls.
