  • "Great price is best quality"
    on by Mavrick88

Pros Takes great pictures, video, and 4G is very fast on it

    Cons Horrible battery life
    Phone locks up a lot
Phone restarts a lot due to lockups
After 300+ text messages, phone responds slow until you delete them all
No - 'Ice Cream Sandwich' (Android 4.0+) as promised after a long period of time and still no word!

Summary The battery life is very horrible. I had to buy 3 extra batteries to keep up with daily use. I can't be tied to a wall, car, or USB charger most of the day and this phone NEEDS that if you plan on using just one battery. If talk time is 480 minutes then roaming around in idle must be what's draining the battery (ha, ha). Seriously, you need extra batteries on a separate charger if you plan on using this phone all day.

Pictures are great and the video looks pretty good too. The phone locks up on me all the time and I need to restart it a lot. Maybe I got a dud as I don't see many reviews talking about that, but mine does it all the time. Very annoying!

Great price on a Smartphone with 4G. I must admit that. Honestly, that is the best thing this phone has going for it compared to others out there. I'd steer clear if you can! Other phone are worth the price difference, I promise! I'm stuck in the 2-Year Contract now so no upgrading for me at $700 phone pricing.

  • "Great phone for the price."
    on by monamant

    Pros nice looking
    easy to figure out
    responsive
    great price

    Cons Battery is average

Summary I'm coming to Android from a Palm Pre so anything is really a step up for me. This phone has everything I could need and the price was fantastic for this quality phone.
Don't get me wrong, it's not the absolute newest technology. Mostly it is on par with one year old phones, but has a sleeker design to it.
Overall, I am quite happy with it.

I forgot to add that the back cover and front glass part fingerprint and look gross very easily.

  • "Terrible sound call quality!"
    on by PhilinPortland

Pros Super low price (but unfortunately you get what you pay for with the LG Lucid)
    Big screen

Cons Terrible tinny sound call quality!
Touch screen too often gets it wrong.
    Extremely poor battery life.
There are more Cons, but no use in beating a dead horse.

Summary This LG Lucid phone has the WORST sound quality of ANY phone I have ever used! It's unbelievable that with the current state of technology LG can't make a phone with even acceptable sound quality! We bought the Lucid phone at Walmart for $1.97 (with two year Verizon agreement extension),for my wife as her first smart phone and what a huge disappointment it was due to a tinny weak sound call quality that greatly altered the callers voice characteristics, and too often made the call unintelligible,(especially when background noise is present). This Lucid phone isn't even worth the $1.97 we paid for it, so we returned it and bought an Apple Iphone 4s for a lot more money instead. The iPhone may not have as big of a screen or high specs of this Lucid, but the iPhone has MUCH better call quality and the screen touch is much more reliable than the LG's.
Bottom line is that if you buy a phone for verbal communication, don't buy the LG Lucid. There is no doubt in my mind that anybody who rates this Lucid phone well is doing it from the specs, not from direct usage. BTW, we do have a washer and dryer made by LG though, and they work great.

  • "Solid Mid-Range Android device"
    on by drewsmithwick

Pros Dual Core processing plus 1 GB of RAM, Nice build quality, dual cameras, price tag, 4G LTE, promised ICS

Cons The Screen and Cameras could be sharper and the battery life is awful.

Summary Overall this is a decent mid range phone in Verizon's lineup 4G and dual core processing make the phone ultra snappy and with ICS in the Lucid's future you know it will have support from Verizon in the future, unfortunately the screen and cameras aren't exactly crystal clear, and battery life takes a hit, but hey for 79.99 that isn't bad for a solid player from LG.
