Cons push to talk quality, phone randomly shuts down, highly sensitive buttons
Summary I have had a Nextel i760 for years and decided it was time to upgrade. I was switched from Nextel network to Sprint network and ended up with limited connectivity on push to talk. The camera button is easy to hit- today I had 14 pictures of the inside of my purse. The phone periodically shuts down for no reason. After two weeks, I was so frustrated I called sprint to return the phone. On the plus side, they are taking the phone back and reestablising my Nextel service.
Pros hmmmm, nothing?!?!?
Cons Battery life was not even close to advertised. Phone would shut off and turn on in the middle of a conversation for no reason.
Summary I had this phone for about a month before it finally drove me nuts. Battery life was terrible and the thing would just turn off for no reason and then turn itself back on while in the middle of a call. Sometimes it would happen 4-5 times in a day. Some days it didn't do it at all. Nobody at Sprint could figure it out and all I heard from them was "gee, we've never heard of that happening". As far as I'm concerned I would never buy another LG phone again. Back to Samsung or Sanyo for me.
Pros Size, Color, Ease of Use
Cons Small outer screen
Summary Bought this phone for my wife and she loves it. Phone is perfect size, screens are bright and batter, signal and voice clarity is top notch. Obviously not a phone for someone who wants a media player and a micro sd slot, but a great looking basic direct connect phone.
Pros I was able to program one button access to Tip Calculators and separate the Direct Connect call history and Standard Call history. Also the one button access to Text messaging and well defined keypad were useful.
Cons The camera was a big disappointment. No zoom and no flash. The flash on my ic902 had been useful as a miniflashlight in a pinch. Other problems I encountered was the phone would randomly reboot independently. Overly sensitive keys on exterior.
Summary Its one button accessibility to most features make it a nice user friendly phone. Also the distinct ringtones make it stand out among other Nextel Direct Connect users. I found sound quality better than previous phones I had. I had little to no reception problems, and battery life was more than satisfactory (I keep my phones on 24/7 with minimal breaks). The large PTT button was nice and well positioned.
Lack of a clip, no memory card slot, and the sensitive keys on the exterior were troublesome. Bottom line, it is a good first step for LG into Nextel Direct Connect phones, but it is still just a first step.
"Terrible phone"on by MARGADONNA
Pros Good looking, light weight, good calender reminder.
Cons Drop calls, poor 2 way service, bad speaker volume, bad microphone, very sensitve side buttons, no belt clip, no service on the 2 way when connected to bluetooth, phone serice only.
Summary The LX400 by LG is a horrible phone. Every other call got dropped, the 2 way was terrible, I was unable to communicate with the 6 other phones on my account. When I was connected to bluetooth in my car, the 2 way service did not work at all. The caller would get a message saying "user not available". I need the phone mostly when I drive. The volume on the 2 way was very low & hard to hear at the highest volume setting. I took the phone back, they gave me a new one but I had the same exact problems with the second one so I reconnected back to my old Motorola IC902 model. The Nextel store was very accomadating. All is back to normal.
