Pros Video & picture phone + mp3 player + mini SD slot
Cons poor programming, small nav buttons, bulky
Summary this phone is wonderful what I love the most is:
- the big color screen
- with the mini SD card I can take as many videos and pictures supported by the card, currently 256MB, and listen to MP3s
- the speakerphone is loud, even on the low volume I can hear it across the hall
- the phone can be loaded with MP3 and AAC format ringtones
all and all this is a multi-media phone. if you don't need these features then get another phone
the only cons I can think of are:
- the small nav buttons, but you can quickly get used to it
- some poor programming, (e.g. when ringer is turned on after being on vibrator mode, the phone forgets its last preset ringer volume and will default to medium-low)
- the phone is bulky but what do you expect from a multi-media phone? (at least first generation anyway)
I gave this phone an 8 because of the poor programming and small nav buttons. other than that this is one beautiful and feature packed phone
Pros Great feel, style, screen, speakers and slide-LG tech support
Cons Camera not very good, mp3's don't stream, voice dial not great
Summary I was so excited to get my lg-535 that I drove out of town to pick it up. It felt great in the hand. The slide was awesome. The screen showed the Sprint tv very well and video's too. A little annoying was that for pictures there was a large bottom banner with the date and time that LG told me could not be removed (by the way LG tech support was very nice- open 24/7). Another thing was the picture quality for l.3 digital my old Sanyo 8200 blew it away! I called Lg a number of times trying to get better quality photos, but they still weren't that great and that was very important part of my purchase. Also the receiver was a little hard to hear so I had to use the speaker phone more often that I would have liked.
The mp3 player will not shuffle or even advance the songs so you have to push it manually each time which can become a pain.
The voice dial also had a 25 % failure rate on identify the number correctly.
The phone had some great features, like the powerful and cute little speakers. It was nice not to always have the ear buds in.
The phone has a lot of style, but if photos, voice recognition and an mp3 player are important to you I would pass on the 535.
Pros beautiful screen, easy to use, mp3 player, minisd card slot.
Cons kinda big, no bluetooth
Summary no huge flaws... easy to use, awesome media player function...good lookin pics.
Pros huge screen, nice 3D songs, memory card slot,
Cons low battery life, can't make your mp3s the ringer, no USB cable, hard to find case, scratches easily, 15 second video
Summary I couldn't wait to get this phone in the mail! While it has some minor flaws, overall, I am so glad I bought this phone.
*I have never seen anyone with my phone!
*Nice, big, colorful screen. One of the biggest that I have seen on cell phones.
*The phone can be incredibly loud and it has a nice feature that allows it to sound 3D
*Mini SD slot. They are kinda expensive, but it's so nice NOT to carry around my flash drive. (Although, you need the SD adaptor if you use it in a computer.) You can always have your documents, music, and files with you.
*The phone may seem bulky (I guess a pro for some and a con for some too), but it's sturdy. I intially thought that something would happen to the slider, but it is fine. It's the best slider I have seen.
*Fast web transfer.
*Controls and buttons are intuitive.
*Since the screen is big and with no "flip" feature to protect the screen, it scratches easily.
*Hard to find a case for it because of its unique design.
*Cannot turn your mp3 (on the phone) into a ringer.
*Low battery life, but you can buy the extended battery and if you play games (tetris), listen to music, surf the web on this phone, you'll need that extra energy, trust me.
*The video only lasts for 15 seconds... should be more since I have a memory card!
*Speakerphone isn't that great...
Accessories I bought for this phone:
-512 mini SD card
Pros MP3, speaker, stereo sound.
Cons Size, weight
Summary This is a great phone i slapped a 1gb minisd card in and have over 16hrs of music on it. I like the features. I use the MP3 player at the gym, and mounted it on my bike and turn on the speaker for bike rides. Great little phone. I really like the slide, i hated it at first but now it has grown on me. YOU MUST GET A STEREO HEADSET WITH A MIC TO MAKE THIS THING WORTH THE $. I couldnt find one anywhere.
