  • "finally a good phone without a camera"
    on by jeroethel

Pros light, no camera, easy to use, good sound quality

    Cons lousy selection of ringtones

Summary Verizon finally had a phone without a camera, so I am expecting better battery life. Only had the phone two weeks, but no complaints except I miss my Mission Impossible ringtone.

Will some standard group agree on charger connecter standards so my old Motorola chargers are not obsolete when I change brands?

  • "Good basic phone idea, not quiet there yet"
    on by bw9101

    Pros external screen, reception

    Cons VERY poor battery life

Summary I really hoped this was the last phone I would have to buy. I am not interested in a camera phone and the choices were narrow. I enjoyed the LG 3300 and Nokia 2128i. The local dealer showed me the new 3400. The only thing lacking in the 3300 was the external screen.

The 3400 has it. It is a good screen adn does waht I ask of it.

The phone is good and has excellent call quality - even in analog! The problem for me is I have to have 2 chargers (1 work; 1 home) and a car charger. I have to charge this phone twice a day. I only talk about 500 minutes/month and do text frequently. The 3300 at least has the extended battery as I am sure this one will eventually - if not already. I would recommend that as ana option.

I went back to my 3300 and let my youngest son use the 3400. He is a skateboarder and uses his equipment hard. He went back to his 4 year old LG 3200 after a week with this phone.

Great step in teh right direction as reception adn call quality and external screen are good. Gotta do something with the battery though!

  • "LG 3400 is a great basic phone!"
    on by CoolCSI

Pros Signal & sound quality on the LG 3400 is great!

Cons *No web, *No swaping covers

Summary The layout of the phone is simple and easy to use.

Finally, a external screen on the 3xxxx series.

The LG 3400 is a winner, for a basic phone!

  • "The best phone ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
    on by DollyPartonRocks

Pros Everything! Loud and clear speaker, tough, small and light weight, pretty color, bright screen, tones of great ringtones!

Cons There is no Get It Now

Summary I bought this phone used from ebay in 2008, it was already 2 years old, but it was like new! I replaced the battery in 2008 the same year I got it, and it's time for a new battery. This is a very tough phone after slideing out of my lap and hitting the paved drive way, it only had one "hard to see" small spot on it. Although there is no Get It Now for downloading ringtones and other stuf, this phone is still great! Even with hardly no severice (1 bar to none) you can still hear great! This phone is alot louder than the camera phones. The dark blue color is so pretty! This phone is really great and I'am goin to keep it til it has had it. It's goin on to 5 years old and is still like new, battery must be replaced every 2 years, other than that this is by far the best phone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • "Very Tough Phone"
    on by imacg32007

    Pros Tough
    Durable
    Good Call Quality
    Light Weight
I don't have to use it anymore

    Cons No Camera
    Ring tones suck
    No Web Browser
    Boring

Summary I got this phone in 2006 and it has worked good since. Since then it has been thrown hardly and dropped several times and it never broke it. I never did like the phone because it did not have a camera but i did not get to pick it out and that's why i had to use it. My phone was for us celluar and it always got good call quality. The phone has no camera and it's selection of ring tones suck. The phone was silver and had lot of scratches when the contract expired. I was glad to get rid of it and i got the LG UX300 that is a great phone.
