"Good basic phone idea, not quiet there yet"
2.0 starson by bw9101Pros: external screen, reception
Cons: VERY poor battery life
Summary: I really hoped this was the last phone I would have to buy. I am not interested in a camera phone and the choices were narrow. I enjoyed the LG 3300 and Nokia 2128i. The local dealer showed me the new 3400. The only thing lacking in the 3300 was the external screen.
The 3400 has it. It is a good screen adn does waht I ask of it.
The phone is good and has excellent call quality - even in analog! The problem for me is I have to have 2 chargers (1 work; 1 home) and a car charger. I have to charge this phone twice a day. I only talk about 500 minutes/month and do text frequently. The 3300 at least has the extended battery as I am sure this one will eventually - if not already. I would recommend that as ana option.
I went back to my 3300 and let my youngest son use the 3400. He is a skateboarder and uses his equipment hard. He went back to his 4 year old LG 3200 after a week with this phone.
Great step in teh right direction as reception adn call quality and external screen are good. Gotta do something with the battery though!

Is the short battery charge the only problem with the vx3400? Why such a low rating? We have an LG v 10 that is over 4 years old and it lasts all day on one charge. Your opinion sounds more like a 6 to me. Thanks for commenting.
