"Would be great except for a couple crucial things...."2.5 starson by youniqueg33k
Pros: Excellent specs, comparable to more pricier phones in its class.
Nice display and very nice camera for recording HD videos.
Not too bad on the bloatware.
Motorola's stock app included called "Smart Actions" is a nice feature for optimal customization
Cons: The battery life is horrible! I mean bad, bad!
Non-removable battery = poor choice design!
Holding the phone to watch videos is awkward because of its size.
The external speaker could sound better in my opinion, especially playing music through it.
Summary: I suggest considering all options available from other phones available similar to this one in specs. The battery drain is a MAJOR downer! Furthermore, I cannot understand the logic of the non-removable battery as what if the batter I had just had a bad cell or defect. I could not even choose a new battery to try lest I void the warrant cracking the shell open?
If you are one to root and flash ROMS, be careful! Motorola has their bootloader locked and if unlocked, there is a permanent warning upon each reboot that is very annoying!
Call quality varied but I think the antenna is placed where when talking to someone holding the phone normally, I had callers tell me they could not understand or hear me clearly several times.
Anyhow, I am done with Motorola phones now. It may be since Google acquired them but they are going down hill in my opinion. It is clearly noticeable that Google intends to integrate itself to this phone at all costs, meaning all of Googles apps are included by default, even useless ones for me, the individual.
Thankfully yesterday, when I knowingly bricked my phone, part from regret and lack of concern from continuing to use the phone and part carelessness in customising the phone, I found in my original contract with AT&T a couple of crucial errors, thus I can cancel contract early without penalty and now I will get a better phone this time, probably a Samsung Galaxy 3/4 or HTC One Mini perhaps.
