Pros Phone calls very well
Keyboard is great on this phone
TeleNav GPS built in
Google Maps Navigation as well
Speakers on this phone are excellent, nice crisp and loud
Camera is decent
Cons It doesn't really have too many bells and whistles
Not a 4g phone
Summary So I have had this phone for over a month now and I can say I quite like it.
I had to get a phone for my new job and wanted one with a keyboard as the primary use for this phone is business. The keyboard is great on this phone, it is a joy to use compared to any other hardware keyboard phone I've used. I have used a lot from blackberrys, old sidekicks back in the day, and the sprint evo one with a keyboard. I have to say I like this one the best. The look and feel of the phone is nice and solid in a sleek utilitarian way.
It seems that most of the complaints are from people who really hate how motorola hosed them with the last cliq phone. Well keep that review to that phone, this phone is a great little device. It is not a G2, It is not a mytouch4g, it is not a galaxy II, however it is an excellent phone that handles the job of email, calendar, open office docs, and phone calls very well. It has TeleNav GPS built in, and it has Google Maps Navigation as well. Two great navigation apps you won't get lost with this phone. The native 3g hot spot works excellent for business purposes, if you need it to break out your laptop and fire off a few emails and docs back to the home office it does the job, but if you really want a mobile hotspot to watch vids and do the whole multimedia thing, get a 4g phone with the hotspot stuff. This phone is excellent for what it is, a mid market smart phone.
Some people have a problem with MotoBlur, It is simple, don't sign up for more than you need to and it really stays out of the way. However I do find the MotoBlur widgets very useful. The speakers on this phone are excellent, nice crisp and loud. The video playback is actually impressive considering it is not AMOLED device, the colors are vivid and clean. The camera is decent for what it is, it's not a nokia with a zeiss lens but it does take clearer pics than an iphone with good lighting.
I would have a slight issue with this phone if it was to be my primary personal phone (mine is a Nokia N900, greatest most flexible device ever) because it doesn't really have too many bells and whistles. However if you are looking for a phone that offers solid email, solid contact, calendar and business integration this phone is a great choice. Especially at the price it is being offered. The more I use it, the happier I am with my choice as I just needed a little workhorse of a phone for work. If you're a phone user who doesn't fiddle with their phone at all times, uses when they need to, play a random game or two here and there to kill time, and definitely needs a keyboard because on screen swyping annoys you, this is the phone for you.

Pros The Motorola CLIQ is a sleek Android capacitive touch screen phone having Motoblur interface, excellent multimedia and virtual keyboardor SWYPE.
Cons Motorola Cliq 2 is the best cell phones
"Not the best"on by TechnicalAngel
Pros Physical Keyboard
Cons Overheating, freezing (heh), issues making calls, random rebooting, massive bloatware, issues with mute slider button, GPS issues, how about I just say everything and call it done?
Summary I've had this phone model for almost a year. I got it as a replacement after going through 5 MyTouch Slides. I'm on my 3rd Cliq 2. This phone started great, but the shiney wore off pretty quick. My phone is my entertainment system while I'm driving, and running Navigation and the built in music player can get my battery up to 110-115F degrees. I had to keep a close eye on my battery, since using the charger made it worse.
I have a lot of issues receiving calls. There are periods where my phone will not know it's receiving a call, and the only way I know someone tried to call me is when I got a voicemail. I work in tech support, and it's pretty bad when my boss that I didn't get her phone call because my phone wasn't working right...
I also have problems calling out. When I select someone in my address book, there is usually a 30 second lag before the phone screen will come up. At that point, there's about a 50/50 chance that the call will instantly drop or connect. If it does drop, there's usually another 30 second lag while (I presume) the phone app fully disconnects and I can make another attempt to call someone.
Since this is my only phone, you can imagine how much of a problem those two issues are.
There's this little slider button on the side, so you can put the phone on silent easily. In the settings, you can specify if you want vibrate on in silent mode or not. I have to keep that setting off, as if I barely touch that button, my phone will vibrate, and that is VERY annoying during a call.
If I want to use Navigate, I have to reboot my phone beforehand. If I don't, it will get stuck on Searching for GPS, even while outside, not moving, and a clear view to the sky.
There is probably only one thing worse than this phone, and that is the service I've been receiving from T-Mobile since the merger with AT&T was announced.
Pros good camera with flash
decent camcorder even though its not HD
easy to use
Cons screen freezes up
crappy battery life
camcorder not HD and can't record with flash!
it over heats!
shuts off and and reboots itself on its own....
Apps will open then shut down, or "forclose" themselves.
Summary its a decent phone. But it still has a few flaws. The good thing about it are the qwerty keyboard, which is easy to type on. The camera/camcorder are pretty good too. It takes some good pics/video even though it's not HD (I thought it was). The phone easy to use/navigate through, even though I heard a few bad rants about motoblurb, it worked fine for me. Plus it's customizible so you can set your own thems, wallpapers, ect... the display is pretty crisp and it's got 3g internet speeds on it. It can bring up the desktop pages for websites and even supports flash video.
The flaws are the reason I gave this phone 2 1/2 stars. It over heats when I'm using it! I'll be on facebook or the internet for 3 minutes and it heats up!! I had to return the first one I bought because I thought it was defective, but it turns out it wasn't. Also the screen freezes up and and and goes haywire at times after it unfreezes, or sometimes I have to take out the battery and replace it back in for it to work. Sometimes it'll shut off by itself and reboot. Sometimes if you try to open an app, it won't do it. Instead it will "Forclose" it. And the batterly is pretty crappy on this phone. Wouldn't make through the day with it. That is untill I discovered an app called Juice Defender, which helps save nattery power.
over all decent phone phone, solid build, but beware of the flaws.....
Pros Android 2.2
Camera with a Flash
Wifi Calling (Free wifi calling when traveling internationally with free minutes)
Mobile Hotspot (for tethering up a data connection to another device using wifi)
MotoBlur streamlines contacts, email account
Cons Bloatware that you can't remove
1 ghz processor leaves me wanting a bit more speed or responsiveness
Summary This device is everything the original Cliq should have been and suffers from the name. It is a fantastic device that leaves me using my laptop less as I can get so much accomplished when I am mobile by using this phone.
