"2nd worst phone I ever owned!" on by josie9999
Pros: The qwerty keyboard is a feature i wanted.
Cons: The phone has limited capabilities compared to the feature phone I owned.
The camera takes terrible photos, it has the same pixels as the iPhone. In less than three months, the phone has to be replaced. It is useless, The touch screen just fizzled.Summary: I am actually considering terminating my contract early and paying the fee. It will cost less to leave early and go with a different service than to pay out the two years monthly with the contract. The service cannot get any worst.
The phone took on a life of it's own. It just opened emails, dialed voicemail, accessed apps and features randomly.
I am sick of the phone companies with their contracts and fees.

"Well worth the upgrade from droid 1!" on by rtrautner
Pros: Great new keyboard. Crazy fast processor. Love being able to switch seven screen profile's from personal to work and even weekends. Email and messaging co-exist perfectly. Mobile hot spot is a nice touch also. Screen resolution is beautiful.
Cons: The only reason I gave the droid 2 global 4.5 stars is because Motorola did not upgrade the camera from 5 to 8 megapixel like the droid x. Also, they got cheap and only put an 8 gig SD card instead of the 16 gig that was in droid 1.
Summary: This phone rocks! If the only thing you do is multimedia and messaging, and you don't mind the size, get the droid x. Otherwise, the droid 2 global is the choice for you. It does everything business and pleasure you could ask for in a phone at blazing speeds.

"Nothing but problems! Avoid this phone at all cost!" on by Dewdus
Pros: Slide keyboard
Cons: Completely unreliable! Carrier not interested in customer satisfaction.
Summary: I bought this phone for my wife, and she's had nothing but problems with it. It locks, refuses to make or receive calls, goes haywire while flashing various screens, and forces her to pull the battery at least twice a day. She has had it replaced twice, only to encounter the same set of problems again. I took it to Verizon today and demanded action. They tried to get her to take another Droid, this time the Droid 3, but required an eligibility reset to 2 years. I had already told them I was moving my family to iPhone as each phone hits the 2 year mark, so I offered to pay the difference to move to that phone instead. No dice, yet the Droud 3 was doable at no cost. I was fed some ridiculous line about apple not allowing customers to move to iPhone prior to upgrade eligibility. Sounds fishy enough. I'll give them one thing, it was a highly creative excuse. At any rate, its disgusting that these Telecom giants hook consumers and then show little interest in the satisfaction of those customers. So, my wife is stuck with a horrible phone for the next 9 months, and Verizon just shrugs their shoulders. Great!
