"TERRIBLE. Just missed a phone interview because of it." on by chrisbh90
Pros: Turn-by-turn GPS is awesome (after it stops "searching for satellites", of course).
It's a great phone for texting because of the keyboard.Cons: Sometimes it plain old doesn't ring when I get a call even with 3G and 5 bars of reception.
When it does ring, the screen freezes so I can't answer it.
It switches my contact names and phone numbers.
The screen does not work if there are ANY smudges.Summary: I have had 7 of these phones in 16 months, ALL due to mechanical failure. I have asked Verizon for a new phone several times but there is always a technicality in my phone plan that blocks me from getting one. Or they offer me another Droid 2. Today was the final straw. I waited for a phone interview, and after 20 minutes of no call, I opened my phone. It restarted itself, and when it turned back on I had a message from the recruiter... womp womp. If I did not need the phone for calls tonight, I would have smashed it right then and there.
If I could give the DROID 2 a worse rating, I would. I hope that no one is subjected to the abysmal travesty that is this Motorola monstrocity. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PHONE.
