Summary: I've been using this phone for just over six months. At the time of purchase I narrowed my choices down to this phone and the Samsung GS3 (The "It" smartphone at the time).
Ultimately the two factors that lead me to choose the Droid Razr Maxx HD over the GS3 were the long battery life and the feel of the phone in my hand (the plastic feel of the GS3 was a turn off).
Fast forward six months and I remain pleased with my decision to purchase the Maxx HD. The battery life has been good though I think the early reviews were somewhat exaggerated. The call quality is excellent. Dropped calls are rare with Verizon's LTE network coverage in our area. Pairing with bluetooth is relatively easy. The availability of widgets allows you to customize your home screens to suit your needs/taste.
A lot of the negative reviews I read prior to my purchase dealt with the lack of a quality camera. I'm not one who uses the camera on my smartphone a lot so for me that wasn't a deal breaker.
This is a great phone for someone looking for a quality, solidly built smartphone who isn't that concerned about camera quality and doesn't want to have to buy extra chargers for home/work/etc.
