Summary: You can read a 1000 reviews like I did before choosing he right phone for you. And that is the key: THE RIGHT PHONE FOR YOU!
You have to prioritize what's the most important features in a phone then go from there.
For me, I HAD to have first and foremost a rugged phone. With the cavalar coated backing, water resistant coating and gorilla glass there is no competition for the MAXX series from Motorola.
Second, battery life is HUGE to me personally. EVERYBODY I know (especially Iphone users) are constantly looking to charge their phones. The MAXX advertises a 32 hour battery. (NORMAL EVERYDAY USE averages 22-26 hours) THat's what I need. Who wants to be a slave to there cell phone's inept battery life?
I bought this phone yesterday and my wife opted for the GS3 (a GREAT phone in it's own right). Her phone is better suited for her, a first time Droid user as the platform is super user friendly and kinda "happy" feeling overall. I almost got the GS3 but it just feels cheap and fragile. They run the same processor so I can't tell a big difference in overall speeds of downloads or uploads, I know initially the big knock on the MAXX HD was price. We purchased out phones through Best Buy who price matched Amazon.comcellular(BY FAR the cheapest around) and got my MAXX HD for $99 and the GS3 for $69. So at the the end of the day, the durability and long battery life was well worth the extra $30 over the GS3 for MY needs.
