"bought two- be aware what you are getting good and bad"3.0 starson by ronf572
Pros: web browsing phone, a app store, physical keyboard, syncs great with gmail because it is a google phone and should get updated fast, it has GPS, it has a "good" touch screen, 5 mega Pixel camera that does video, good typing word prediction.
Cons: Keyboard: no separation between keys, too easy to hit wrong keys, word prediction is only easilly accessible from the touch screen keyboard,GPS eats battery fast and doesn't compare to a real GPS, media player sucks.
Summary: we took one of them back for a blackberry type phone, we kept the other one to develop apps on because it is a capable phone. The lack of good functionality is a app opportunity instead of a flaw. GPS is useful in a pinch when you are lost although it takes too long to get your location and find your destination. I typically map destination then navigate to a pont on map for ease of use rather than by address. the camera is clunky and difficult to take good pictures, It's design is reminiscent of Russian cold war utilitarian design, The media player is bad design. We put phone on silent mode to keep from annoying droid notifications when email or messages come in. We locked auto diming off, that was too annoying, we set screen brightness time alot longer at the cost of battery life. I don't know if i would recommend it right now, I am waiting for updates/revisions and apps. The app "store" is difficult to find a particular type of app they all seem to just be shoved together.
