Pros Large Bright Screen
Nice Picture Quality
Cons No external camera button
Battery life sucks
Freezes and reboots regularly
Summary I have upgraded from the Droid Global which was a nightmare..
Seems like the version that worked the best and had the best use was the first Droid X. Since then I have been very disappointed with the droids that have come after. The phone has a dual processor but I find it to be as fast as the global. So i didn't see any benefit there. The biggest headache is the phone freezes and shuts down and resets itself constantly. It locks and freezes as well. I have a Droid 3 on order.. hopefully it will have better functionality...
Pros Fast - Great Display - Many Apps available like any Droid Phone - Nice Security Measures
Cons Battery Life - Gets VERY hot - You are limited on how you are able to customize ring tones and vibration alerts to specific contacts
Summary Even with its speed, screen and apps, I turned it back in and went back to my Blackberry Tour. I realize Droids don't have the best battery life but I was hoping for better with the X2. In my opinion, it gets way too hot. The Blackberry is slower but, for me, it is a good trade off for better battery life and less temperature fluctuation issues.
"Great phone!!!."on by droidfan123
Pros Camera and related features are terrific. I like the buttons at the bottom and the notification light. Fast processor, great speeds, easy to set up and use.
Cons I don't have any complaints other than the directions for purchasing, downloading & installing ring tones didn't work.
Summary I bought the Samsung Fasinate and took it back after five days, wasn't happy with the phone - it wasnt nearly as intuitive and easy to use as the Droid 2x. After reading many cell phone reviews (I determined nothing is perfect) but decided to try the Droid 2X and I am very very pleased with it. Battery is much easier to take off, don't have to break a nail trying to get it off. Not at all unhappy with the battery life but then I'm not on it all day. It's sleek and has a beautiful screen and more features then I will probably ever use and plenty of apps available.
I just have one complaint and that is that the directions for dowloading and installing ringtones on the Verizon site are all wrong. After speaking with two tech support persons from Verizon and one from Motorola I finally learned that you cannot install ringtones from a text message attachment. I had to purchase and download tunes directly from the phone. If that was on the website, manual or other directions it would have saved a lot of time and frustration. Now that I have this figured out I love the phone and would highly recommend this phone.
Pros - Huge Display
- Great photo/video quality
- Surprisingly... durable! mine survived 5 minutes underwater
Cons - Battery life (you just have to charge it every night)
- Sometimes crashes... as expected
- Universal Charging port is awful. If you pull it out of whack it won't charge ever again
Summary my Droidx2 was actually a replacement for my original beloved droidx. The charging port broke. I never transferred everything over, and I didn't like this phone to begin with because it wasn't MY droid...
However, my droid X2 recently survived being underwater in a fish pond for 5 minutes, running. I put it in rice overnight and it still runs like a dream.
Overall... Great phone with some expected glitches.
Pros screen display, very fast, lots u can do with it.
Cons could of changed the way it looks a little more from x1
Summary great phone recommend it to anyone. Dont need 4g when you got dual core.
