"Good texting phone"on by saramtz8
Pros QWERY keypad makes texting easier
Great call quality
I get a better signal (4bars) at my home than I did with Pocket or Sprint (both 1 bar)
Music player sounds great w/ headphones
3.5mm headset jack
Great battery life
Cons Small Keys- Still trying to get use to the small keys (I have small hands). This is my first time using a QWERY keypad. It's been a month but I'm getting the hang of it.
Video isn't all that great.
Doesn't have many ringtones.
Summary This is a good phone for you if you like to text. Like I said I'm still getting use to the keys, but I would not trade it in just because of that.
I like the camera and it's so easy to send pictures or post them up on Facebook or MySpace.
I haven't dropped a call, and I get a great signal.
The Mobile Web is all right. I give it a 3 out of 5. I mainly use it to check Facebook, MySpace, and the weather. This is not the phone for you if you are looking for a real html web browser.
Although this phone has a limited amout of ringtones on it, it rings really loud.
Love the phonebook, the picture caller-id, and the datebook.
I have not had a problem with the battery cover. The first time I took the battery cover off, I had to figure out how to put it back because it was a little tricky. However, after a few tries I was able to get the hang of it. It stays securely fastened.
I loved the 3.5mm headjack. I thought I was going to have to buy an adaptor for it.
Overall, this is a good phone for those that like to text, listen to music with a headset, use Facebook or MySpace.
Pros The messaging is great due to the QWERY keypad. Great call Quality. Crystal clear screen
Cons After awhile and it may have just been a phone defect...... but when I reached a certain amount of messages..... it would lag and restart itself. The same with the camera. I would have to restart it to be able to use it from time to time
Summary Its a great phone. I had mine replaced since it was having restart issues but the new one I have is much faster, 3G is quick and cheap. If you are looking for a great phone through Cricket and don't mind paying a bit for the phone. Get this one!
Pros music player, camera, text messaging, not bad for a cricket phone. good roaming when you're traveling, good signal in buildings, great battery.
Cons My phone started randomly spazzing (vibrating) multiple times and I only dropped it once. I then dropped it again and it got all better which is wierd. it restarted and lagged before. the internet browser is pretty slow. NEEDS AIM AND MSN!!!!!
Summary I make a lot of typos on the phone, because it's so small, but it's a decent phone. I've had it for a year because honestly I don't like throwing $250 away haha. It would make things so much easier if they had instant messaging, so I don't consider it the best cricket messaging phone like they said in their description. Overall, it's a great phone, it just seems to lag a lot and should have IM services. using the browser is a must because the phone is pretty boring without it. probably not good for people with big hands. don't listen to other people, they just want computers in their hands!! this is a pretty good phone!!
Pros Text messaging (SMS), music player, decent camera, somewhat useful, if not only flashy built-in photo editor.
Cons It doesn't have a large enough internal memory to utilize it's music player. The phone uses a strange codec for videos. The phone isn't very customizable, theme wise.
Summary I hated my phone. I used it as a music player more than anything else, by plugging in a 16GB memory card into it. I have large thumbs, so it was difficult to text on it. The microphone for phone calls is on the bottom, front part of the phone, not on the part that slides down. As in it's only about 3 inches from the speaker. My phone, if dropped from even an inch, it would turn off and it would have trouble turning back on. Also, even though my plan included picture messages, I couldn't receive them. Overall, I would not suggest this phone to anyway, even just as a loner phone.
Pros Full QWERTY keyboard.
Cons Bluetooth has never worked properly
Weird location for camera
Phone feels cheap.
Keys are too close together
Can't customize 3 of the standard shorcuts on the screen.
Complex menu structure
Phone is either on vibrate mode or ring tone mode.
Summary I don't have lots of good to say about this phone, but plenty I don't like about it. First, Bluetooth has never worked properly for me. Don't know if it is just my phone or not. The camera is mounted so it is easily covered by right hand; not easy to hold with right hand to take pictures or video. I'm right handed, so this is a major pain. (Did anybody test this phone before they mass produced it?) The phone feels cheap. The keyboard keys are too close together and hard to feel apart (at least for my big fingers). Also, the button that makes letters uppercase is on the bottom right, when I expect it to be on the bottom left. I still haven't adjusted to that weird button placement. You can't customize 3 of the standard shortcuts on the screen, and the ones you can't change are some I NEVER use. The menu structure is quite complex, making finding the right setting difficult (and I am in a high-tech industry, so it's not that I don't understand technology). I hate that the phone is either on vibrate mode or ring tone mode. I want a setting where I can have both ringtone AND vibrate on together (phone in pocket in busy market, for example). The screen scratches easily, and I have an intermitent issue where the screen blacks out and I can't get it back on unless I turn off the phone and turn it back on. I can make and receive calls, but the screen is just blank.
Anyway, I would never recommend this phone to anybody (not even somebody I disliked). Find a better phone. This one is not worth your time or money.
