Pros Military specs of the phone. The easy access to calling, PTT, internet, etc. Clarity of the calls and PTT is clearer than previous phone. Lightweight and keyboard.
Cons iDEN network is a little slow.
Summary I have had this phone for 2 weeks now. I have seen that you should be a little computer/internet savy in order to really get some great results out of the phone. Some of the errors I have had, have been due operator error not phone error. Bottom line... "read" the manual before jumping into using the phone :-)
Pros Slick interface, even if dated.
Google synch is awesome.
VPN works for me.
Included headphones/microphone excellent for conference calls.
Wi-Fi support is good.
Swype is an incredible innovation.
Cons Music media apps (all of them) could be better).
iDen is a slow network.
Quicker method to mute a call?
Quicker method to PTT a person?
There is a learning curve. Though, not a huge one.
Smudgie screen very annoying
Summary Great phone. Rugged. And if you are a PTT fan, as I am, then you now have an Android phone to work with.
I recommend it.
Pros Everything is great in this phone. The camera, wifi, phone calling, and PTT. It is like an iphone with PTT. It is excellent for people who have never used an iphone or droid.
Cons For people not used to the modern age, these phones can be tricky. It is difficult for older aged citizens to work this phone out. But the only con I see for myself is a small amount of lag that I experience when pushing too much buttons at once.
Summary Excellent phone. Fit for anyone who has previously used an iphone or droid. I love browsing the internet and downloading apps. It is soooo useful when on boring occasions, on airplanes, buses, trains, and before going to sleep! Beside all of these apps, I can PTT my parents and workers whenever I want. It is truly a great phone.
Pros Good feel, fit , and finish. Decent battery. It can take a punch or a fall. It can have apps. The speaker is LOUD! There is no denying when this phone goes off. Great on site. (I am a Paramedic and can hear this over sirens!) Easy to maintain.
Cons I wish the standby time on the battery was longer, or an extracapacity battery and cover was available. Needs a better design/location for the micro-USB port. Bad angle and small coupling could lead to major headaches and charging problems.
Summary This is a work phone with some fun built right inside. This is a rugged phone like no other. Fruit, like Apples, bruise easily, and this just keeps on going. This is a work phone from the people that make hard working equipment for a business-centered company (Nextel, remember?) If you want to play games, have a movie going, etc. this is not the phone for you.
If you need dependable and solid operations, this is a good bet.
Pros Looks good - seems to have sturdy casing.
Cons DOES NOT WORK. Terrible reception. 75% of all incoming calls do not come through - they go directly to voicemail without ringing. Texts don't always come through - and pics won't come through - says they're too large, yet my daughter's much cheaper pho
Summary The clerk at the Boost Mobile store where we bought these said they don't work and they don't sell them anymore. You can't even find them on the Motorola website. They KNOW they are defective, worthless products, yet noone will replace them. What to do?? I thought of filing a small claims suit, but who do you file against - Boost or Mobile? I hate being ripped off.
