"Finally, Nextels most wanted phone" on by drutyper
Pros: Windows 03, Window media, Sd slot, indicator light, large screens internal and external, nice apps
Cons: Battery, Not too bulky but it looks bulky, brightness of screen, no bluetooth!
Summary: This is by far Nextels best phone out. Asked around the Wash DC,md,and va area and all is sold out in less than 10 min. This phone is everything nextel customers wanted from the phone except theres no bluetooth. You could get an sd bluetooth adaptor but that costs as much as a bluetooth headset. Also this phone is the only windows smartphone for Nextel. The phone does have bulk but it packs a punch in apps and features. Thank you for bringing back the indicator light. This phone is great to surf the net on the go and u dont have to pay $44 extra like the blackberry that nextel sells. Trust this phone is sold out for a reason and the next shipment will also be gone in the same day! Sweet Phone, glad im one of the first. Oh and I got the evp discount soo I got the phone for a good price soo no feelings hurt on the price.

"The real facts about the i930" on by zachisevil
Pros: MP3 player, Camera, Internet, Organizer, MMS messaging
Cons: Inabilty to have your own custom ringtones per person, The phone itself is SLOW, the internet is also SLOW!!, Windows creates problems which freezes up the phone, takes about 5 minutes to start up
Summary: The i930 is cool at first but as you own it you start to notice its annoying flaws such as the constant freezing up. Too many times my phone has froze up without my knowledge and i just cannot recieve phone calls, i eventually chack my phone and realize it is froze and go to restart my phone and have to wait a good 2 minutes while it starts back up. The phone also acts like a slow running computer so openning certain programs including the camera does take a little bit of time. Although the turtle like speed of the phone itself is nothing compared to the rock erosion like speed of the internet. To perform simple actions online it will take you 10 times as long from your phone. It also has no AOL instant messeger so you have to buy it seperate for $30!!! from handango which in my opinion is bull. The i930 does have some pros though with its windows media player which turnes the phone into an mp3 player, a decent camera and an organizer with active sync so you can transer your appointments automatically everytime you plug it into your computer with microsoft outlook (but i use mozilla thunderbird). The mms messaging is also a plus. I just bought the sidekick 3 and the internet is a LOT faster, there is little or no lag from the phone itself, and no freezing up (although the sidekick deffinately has its flaws). I think overall for the high price of this phone, it is very poor. I personally am going to downgrade to the i580 because i hate this phone.

"Nextel's Most Wanted" on by Unferventsoul
Pros: Windows03,Big display,status light,Sd card slot,Global service
Cons: Bulky,Exspensive apps,Battery,not AIM supported,internal memory
Summary: Finally Nextel has come out with a phone every Nextel customer has ever dreamed of. Yet seem you had to be one of the lucky in the know to have purchased this fine hand computer. The features of this phone are truly amazing, for anyone who has went from any phone that Nextel has to offer.Of course there is the Blackberry. But it's quite big and resembles a Palm Pilot.PLus a $40.00 a month service fee on top of your regular plan is ridiculous. I find the i930's features, apps, easy nav. and cutom features all in one, plus Windows03 to make this a very smart purchase. Sure it's a little bulky, but what it lacks in style, it makes up for in technological greatness. Windows media, music, movies, games, camera, video, pocketMSN. Plus make your own SIM cards. This phone is by far a good purchase for any Nextel customer. Too bad there currently sold out.

"This is a lowsy phone. NOT recommended!" on by ATC Dude
Pros: World phone I guess? Since I don't NEED this feature, there are really no pros for me.
Cons: Where do I begin? It makes you dread making a phone call on it.
Summary: I can't believe Nextel released this phone. The interface is terrible from a human factors standpoint. The Windows software on it is already obsolete (It's from 2003) and for good reason. You have to push two or three times as many buttons as your average phone to do the same tasks. For example, to view recent calls, you gotta push "Start", and scroll through the menu to get to the recent calls option. I use this feature pretty regularly because I mostly call the same bunch of people, so this was brutal. It's pretty big, even for Nextel's flip phone standards. This wouldn't be so bad if it was more functional but it's not. It doesn't have Bluetooth built in. That's appalling on a $500.00 ($330.00 or so with a contract) phone. E-mail is worthless compared to Blackberry standards. It's slow. I mean really slow for a phone. It takes a good minute and a half to two minutes to boot up, and around 20 to 30 seconds just to change themes or wallpapers. The screen is absolutely hideous. I owned this phone for one day, and exchanged it for the LESS EXPENSIVE Motorola i870 and the screen difference is like night and day. The i870 is very good BTW.

"GREAT PRODUCT .... Remember what it is for!" on by ptgb
Pros: Interface, Style, Perfomance
Cons: Steep learning curve... but still working on it
Summary: I find it funny reading these reviews with this phone getting nicked for short battery life, no bluetooth, and size.
First battery life... while not great, remember this is more than a simple phone. I equate this battery whining to the same people that expect their laptop to run for 4 days straight because they forgot their AC adapator.
No bluetooth... well look elsewhere because we all knew it didn't have it going in. Why whine about it... acknowledge and move on.
Size? Every NEXTEL motorola (flip) are about the same size. I had an I760 before this... they are extremely close in height and width and the I930 is marginally thicker, less than a quarter inch! That is nothing.
Now lets talk about what this phone is for. If you want a full-fledged PDA, get one. If your main need is a phone with a lot of whizz bang features for business and fun, short of sticking a PDA to your ear, then this is the phone for you.
I have had mine for only a few days but am enjoying every minute of it! Yeah, there is a steep learning curve, but do your really expect to turn it on and figure out every feature in 12 seconds? Most people can't do that with their microwave let alone this gadget! If you still have a VCR and it is still blinking "12:00" then this is not the phone for you... get a bag phone and quit "bagging" on this one...
