"Slow slow slow slow; awful menu"
on by jlo0312Pros Looks nice
Cons SLOW SLOW SLOW--UNINTUITIVE MENU
Summary Yesterday, I turned on my 3-year-old Samsung to erase stuff so that I could donate the phone. I knew there was almost intolerable delay on my awful new Motorola, but the contrast going back to the old phone really highlighted it. Here is what you do with the Motorola K1m: select option and wait (file your nails), select next option and wait (have some coffee), select next option and click it twice because you're fed up so you overshoot what you wanted. I can't wait to be rid of this thing.

"WORST PHONE EVER: DO NOT BUY"

I loved the phone at the beggining but after a week the nightmares began...Cons 1.signal is absolutely horrible,

2. Takes FOREVER to add money with prepaid service,
ill explain more in the summary bcz the amount of caracters you can write is limited for the consSummary -sometimes i wouldnt even have signal in my room or even if i was outside in front of my house
-even when i have full signal, i cant call anyone, it would just tell me call failed, no matter how many times i try, it just tells me call failed
-this phone chooses which texts to send and which ones not to tho most of them dont get sent at the end and if they do its prebably half an hour after i wrote them! i recieve texts about 3 hours after someone sends them!
-ive had the prepaid service and every time i wanted to add money ive had to get transfered to somone and that would take half an hour than there was more problems! it took about an hour for me to add money!!!!!!

"Slim and pocketable"
on by myth90045Pros Internal Display, Tflash, solid build
Cons like all Razrs, the keybord imprints itself on the screen
Summary I have had the unlocked version of this phone for a while. I love the build quality of this phone. Compared to the razr when it first came out, i think Moto has improved the quality of the Krzr. You can easily add mp3s to the phone via the tflash card. Charges via usb if connected to a computer, if you dont have the A/C adapter close by.Battery life is on par of most gsm phones, lasting 4-5 days w/o having to recharge. The one thing that I have noticed that happens to the razr and this phone is that the keyboard imprints itself on the internal display. looking at an angle, you can see the keyboard on the screen regardless if you have a screen protector or not. It is nothing big, but once you notice it, it detracts for the aesthetics of the phone.

"best motorola phone yet"
on by islandgirl8Pros everything works, great call quality & many extra features
Cons 20 second backlight, keys are a little slow, tinny speakerphone
Summary i had the razr for over a year and the w490 for a short while and this is the best of both worlds between the 2 other phones. i love the style, thinness and look of the razr, the big screen and the speed when i press keys, but the razr was very problematic in general. the w490 was great except it did not support t-zones email and it was too thick to fit in a pocket. ...but the w490 has great extras that the razr doesn't have like world clock, airplane mode, better audio, great wallpaper and many other features.
the KRZR has ALL of the above features. it is only 1/8" thicker than the razr and although 1/8th of an inch too much, it is still slim. it has great sound quality, world clock, airplane mode, a two megapixel camera, great volume when speaking or listening, smaller width so it fits in the hand better, really great colorful screen, it supports t-zones email and many other great features. it has all of the good features of the razr and w490 combined. it is the best phone i've had yet. what i don't like about it is the speaker phone sounds a bit tinny and the key action is slow..it takes a second from when you press a key until the chosen display shows. it's only a second but with other phones it's instantaneous. i also don't like the notorious 20 second backlight, but in lieu of all it's plusses and the fact that no phone is perfect, this is the best one i've ever had. another thing i don't like is that the soft key functions are unchangable. on other models you can change what they control, but on here they are what they are and cannot be changed. also, like the w490, the phonebook is inconvenient to access when on a call. despite the imperfections, all in all it is the best, problem free phone i've had so far from motorola. everything works as it should when in use. it's a quality phone. one other flaw is that the cover protecting the port interferes with the entrance to the port. when opened, it is too close to the port so that when you insert a usb cable, you have to juggle to get it in. but again, the plusses outweigh the minuses, because technologically everything works. this is a GREAT phone. i have way less complaints with this phone than any other motorola i've owned. it has great call quality and lots of extra features. -
"If i could give this a lower rating, I probably would."
on by PissedOffKrzrOwnerPros It's better than not having a cellphone.
Cons Terrible battery life.
Terrible music player.
Terrible picture quality.
Terrible message capacity.
Read below for a more in-depth explanation on why you shouldn't get this phone.Summary I've had this phone for over a year and the only reason I've kept it for that long was to wait out its contract (parents pay for my plan, not gonna argue). Pretty much anything bad you can think of with a phone, the KRZR will have as a feature. Firstly, from what i see in advertisements this phone is being marketed as a music phone. Seriously, what was Motorola thinking? It doesn't even come with a standard 3.5mm jack, its internal memory is horrendous (I've got like 5 songs on this thing and don't want to add anymore or else I won't be able to take pictures), its music player seems like it was designed by someone who didn't care about what they were doing, and the speaker is just plain awful quality. I'll admit i didn't use this phone because I wanted a secondary music player (more of a talk/text strictly kind of guy), but c'mon, why would you advertise a phone as part music player when it can't even do that right. It's like calling a motorized wheelchair an automobile. Second, the battery life is garbage. Before this phone, I've used several Nokia and Samsung phones. They all lasted me several hours of talking time and at least one and a half days of standby. This phone gave me neither. For the first couple of months it was decent, an hour or two of talk time and maybe a 1 and a half days of standby. After that though I couldn't even talk for 20 minutes without that low battery warning beep beeping out of control. Honestly it feels as if I've heard that 'beep' more than I listened to any music on this device! A couple of times the battery ran low without me even using it at all since i last charged it. Terrible. Another major problem I have with this phone is its lack substance. I don't know if it's like this for every provider so it might be different for others, but when I had this phone it didn't even have any games installed. Now like i mentioned earlier, i usually just use cellphones for talk and text (that's what they're for right?), but when I'm waiting for a bus or sitting in a waiting room, I'd like to have something to do. What's the natural instinct to do in that kind of situation? Bust out the phone and I dunno, listen to music? Play a game? But this phone can't do either. It doesn't even have any extra features interesting enough to toy with. In the end it's pretty much just what a regular cellphone would be; a machine that can be used to send/receive messages and to talk to people. For like 20... maybe 30 minutes. Oh, and if the cellphone was made in 1999.
Don't get this phone unless you need a new, expensive, phone-like paperweight.
