"Been an iPhone user since the iPhone 3G!"5.0 starson by RogueAirborne
Pros: -Micro-USB...this is why I really switched, was tired of Apples proprietary cables, etc.
-Fairly easy to use and figure out
-Like how Google Play downloads from web to your device
-Battery life seems very good thus far
OK Google Now better than Siri
Cons: -Does not seem as intuitive as iOS
-icons are smaller than iOS
-So far, saving music for offline use seems to be quite a hassle. Hope to be able to figure this out better soon.
Summary: I have been an iPhone user for 5 years now, tried an android device a while back (HTC EVO) and was not impressed. I have grown weary of Apple and their proprietary cables at $20-30 a pop, so buh bye! I readily admit, it is going to be more taking some getting used to, but so far, I do feel iOS is easier to navigate through. After using this for a week, going back to my iPhone 5. The Moto X is a great phone, no issue there. Android is simply not as good as iOS. You android users may think I am just an Apple homer, but I am really tired of Apple's proprietary B$ with cables, software, etc. And have you really ever used iOS? iOS is much easier to navigate and alerts (email, voicemail, text, etc) are MUCH MUCH better and easier with iOS. I also was not impressed with the size of the app icons. Seems there is no way to make them bigger without rooting the phone. I do wish iOS had the 'OK Google Now' like the Moto X and the voice to text is much better on Android. Other than that....Android is lacking in a big way. One thing of note: creating folders was a real pain. Not sure if this is a problem with Moto X or Android.
As for the phone:
-Calls are of good quality, no issue there
-4G speed is very good, signal strength has not been an issue so far
-Like the ability to choose colors with the Moto X
Assembled about 2 miles from where I live (Fort Worth), so you are helping support the US economy a little
-OK Google Now works better than Siri
-Voice text definitely better than Apple
All in all, very good phone. Still trying to figure out Android to a certain extent, but that is on me, not the software.
