Expand full review Summary: I bought this phone on Ebay and unlocked it after reading the many reviews that were slamming it. I did my reseach well on this phone and here is the truth untold. First off, Battery life. I have read all of the negativity regarding the battery life of this phone. Not true!! The main problem that most users have is that they always plug thier phone into the cradle(usb)whichs also charges the phone. If this is done, yes you are gonna kill your battery. The only way to get the best performance out of a cell phone battery is to charge it up, and then use the phone till the battery runs down. it does not have to die, but enough were it is to the point were it needs to be charged. if you plug the phone into the cradle and leave it thier daily, you are never giving the battery a chance to be used. Now we know that we all wnat to sync and add software etc. Of course , do this , but when you are done, disconnect the phone. I get an average of 6 days use out of a fully charged battery. Try it, it works. On to performance. Anyone who has this phone should absolutly upgrade it to the 2003OS. (Search Ebay) It improves performance of the overall speed of the phone and battery life. This phone operates on (900-1800-1900 Mhz) I wasa told countless times that it would not work with Cingular becuase they use 850mhz. Well, since the merger with AT&T, I am tunes into an AT&T 1900mhz tower and I get better reception on this phone then I have with any other phone! (Rochester,NY)As long as you are on a nation plan, no roaming charges should apply. (check with your carrier). I have never experienced a dropped call or bad reception in the 3 months that I have had the phone, not once! The volume on this phone is not as bad as everyone says, you just need to really adjust the volume settings, all of them, especially the master volume. (Not in the manual, but if you play around enough, you'll fiond it). This phone has no camera, but come on, I have yet to see a camera phone that takes halfway decent pics, unless you spend a ton of money (really a ton!)get a real digital camera and make use of the SD slot that this phone comes with. I take pics with my digital and store them on my phone's SD card. They look great on this screen!! Overall, this is an awesome phone. It has expansion (SD slot), MP3 player (Media Player) and the 2003OS is nothing short of spectacular! For all the reviews that slam this phone, I am sure glad that I did not listen!!
