Pros The ease of use, the size, the one hand flip-open design, the texture of the phone (yeah, I know that sounds weird, but ...), compliments by everyone who sees it.
Cons No wi-fi, poor pic quality.
Summary The phone is just plain COOL. Not high-tech, but it gets compliments constantly. Everyone asks, "What is that?" and "Can I touch it?" Really. Mine is UT orange, and it's a velvety soft texture that feels cool in your hand and prevents you from dropping it. I've had mine for YEARS and my daughter has upgraded her phone three times and still am hanging onto this thing. Of all of the high-tech gadgets I've had, nothing else has held up as long as this (still looks and works like NEW) or has sparked as many compliments or inquiries. Love this phone, but wish they'd come up with a new version with some new hi-tech features.
Pros reliable and durable
loved the appearance
Cons too small keys make it frustrating to navigate through the menus and dial calls
speaker phone is too low
Summary I've had my PEBL for a year and a half now
I was attracted to its unique design and sophisticated yet casual look
I also really liked the way the phone felt in your hand
it just kind of feels like it was designed to be held
I also loved the way the phone opens
it is a flip phone, easy to open; but not so obvious at first
anyway, since I like the way it feels in my hand and since it is fun to open
I seem to have developed a habit of opening and closing it in my hand while I am walking
it uses magnets to seal the closure
so beware, because I have made the mistake of carrying my debit card in the same pocket as my phone
and if the card slips inside the phone
it may become demagnetized
this happened to me on a couple occasions.
I drop my phone all the time
at least twice a week
on the concrete, out the car window
you name it
and it still works fine
the phone does not scratch much because of the rubbish exterior.
and it hasn't cracked or anything
the major complaint I have is that the keypad is too tiny
and it is frustrating using the circle navigation pad
and I have small hands
I hate it actually
I always press the wrong key
and it always takes me a couple tries to navigate through the menus
and side buttons lost their functionality after about 6-8 months of use
to my disappointment
but the phone still works
and it is unlocked
it is a t-mobile phone
but I have ATT service and it never ever drops my calls
and I get reception with the phone in places
that my verizon work phone doesn't receive reception
the phone practically never drops a call
and my second complaint is that the speaker phone is too low
if I am driving, I have to close all the windows, turn off the radio and the heat or ac, and hold the thing almost up to my ear
that disappoints me too
it terms of durability and reliability
this phone does the trick
"I loved the Pebl"on by jdgurr
Pros Nice design, convenient flip feature, durable, easy to use buttons
Cons Terrible picture and video quality, no memory card expansion
Summary I have had the Pebl for about a year now, and it is by far my favorite phone. I liked the buttons being flat, as it made texting alot quicker sliding your thumb over the buttons. I loved the look, and the automatic flip feature was just sweet. I never saw the issue with it opening when dropped (which I did somewhat often), but I did find it to be quite the durable phone. I have only seen one other person with the phone, but everyone who sees this phone for the first time always comments on it and wants to try it for themselves. It is a bit pricy for what it does, and I was very disappointed that it didn't play music or have a better camera, but otherwise I had no complaints.
Pros Cute, nice texture.
Cons Doesn't work.
Summary My 3rd PEBL died today. It isn't really dead, just possessed. I have had to return them to t-mobile for various reasons. Including: turning off randomly when shutting the phone, browser not working, and most recently, the phone repeatedly prints out numbers. I can't even get to my address book. The finally gave me a different type (RIZR) hopefully it will work.
Pros Great design
Cons Can get use to some more memory
Summary Just got a dark red one few days ago. I switched from Ericsson's W550i because that one is really too big and squarely for my pocket. Love how this phone looks, especially the keypad. Although this phone doesn't have all the features W550i offers, but it does a excellent job making/receiving phone calls as well as text messages(which is all i use). The camera is ok i like the 4x digital zoom. There are only about 6MB of memory which I think is just enough for one 3 min mp3 song as the rington and about 40 pictures.
Over this is a great phone for those who use their phone to call and txt people. This phone looks really nice.
