"REALLY read the reviews!" on by LightBizUser

    Pros: lightweight, good size keyboard

Cons: casing/keys seem a bit unsubstantial

Summary: In addition to these reviews I suggest going directly to the phone-specific forums run by the service provider, like this:

    http://forums.wireless.att.com/cng/board?board.id=motorola

You can see the reality there. In general, there are people who love some phones, and others who have significant problems with same. I do not own the MotoQ, but as an example, I had read/heard great things about the Blackjack II, so finally made the buy. I owned the BJII for just over 2 weeks and it was a lemon. I spent countless hours (about 30!!) between forums and tech support and trying to sync on my PC, and nothing could overcome all the trouble.

Next up I seriously considered the MotoQ -- the reviews for this phone are also pretty decent, but then go read the forums! Would I just have another bad experience with the MotoQ? I was gunshy, having believed all the GOOD BJII reviews, and in the end I decided on a Tilt (by AT&T). It’s so much more substantial and easy to use than either the BJII or the MotoQ. I know the reviews aren’t perfect for anything out there, so I’m just keeping my fingers crossed I have a good Tilt.

    Good luck with your decision.

"This phone is hit and miss. I can see why it would be good for some people." on by justinmacman

Pros: Fast, 3G, sounds, Opera, easy to type.

Cons: BIG, battery life, small screen.

Summary: Being an Apple user I don't much care for this phone. My iPhone was annoying me so I ordered one of these to test because I owned an original with Verizon. While this is better then the fist, I had hoped for it to go further. The phone is ugly and big... however, if they ever load palm on one one of these like I hear they might, then I am back in.! :)
