"Tough ,Rugged"on by moto2011
Pros Boost has the market locked with their new international calling plans and this phone keeps its bars in rural areas In NM, and Northern ARIZONA
Cons volume to LOW ,and interface looks dated
Pros Pros: Great messaging, very durable, comfortable, able to send ringtones from myxer.
Cons Cons: The camera isn't that great in the dark, and the sound is very low (at least if you get ringtones from myxer).
Summary I love this phone. It's the cutest thing ever, and perfect for me. Because I love a flip phone, but hate texting with tap or t9, so the qwerty keyboard is definately a plus. It's kind of like the lotus from Sprint. It's small, but big enough to not lose. It doesn't flip open easily which is good if you just throw it in the bottom of your purse. No purse or butt dialing here!
Pros Customization features - wallpapers (you can make your own, send them to your phone, and use them), ringtone quality (music tones are crisp and clear, and you can make them yourself and send them to your phone)
Excellent call quality!
Cons Camera quality, not great even for a 1.3
Keys are slightly small, but much larger in contrast to the blackberry curve
The top of the display screens remains black, even with custom wallpaper (i used black bkgds for looks)
Summary If you're looking for a good texting phone without all the frills of a smartphone, this is a good phone. I've used the Blackberry, Rant, Mirro, Motorola i296, Motorola Clutch, Motorola i776, as well as seen my boyfriend struggle constantly with the horrid Incognito. This phone is well priced and worth the money. I finally believe I have found a phone not only worth the price paid but also durable. As CNET states, the phone closes rough but this adds a bit of durability. I can throw it in the bottom of my purse and it will not open as with other models, and with being a flip you don't have to worry about the wretched butt dialing. With the boxy design it takes some getting used to holding it in your hand, but after the first two days you are used to it and move along just fine. As with any Boost phone, if you consider a purchase, find a retailer that provides a 30 day money back guarantee...that way if you're disappointed you aren't left up a creek without a paddle.
Pros Absolutely no pros that I can find.
Cons You name it, it's terrible at it.
Summary Virtually useless piece of unadulterated junk. It constantly resets its master volume to the lowest setting. It constantly breaks up during phone calls. It virtually never connects to the internet, claiming that the server is down even though every other device I try connects without a problem. On those very rare occasions when it does connect, it takes forever. It's battery has the shortest life of any phone I've ever had.
