Summary I got this phone (Silver) in 2006 and my GF-at-the-time got the Pink one. I had been coming from the Motorola ROKR. I had definitely been spoiled by iTunes and the way the songs were on my last phone, but I had decided I wanted to try something new out, this was the NEW thing because it was thin. I was a little ticked that Cingular (IS NOW AT&T) at the time had no means of warranty for this device, and being it was so thin and expensive, if you broke it, you were kind of in a pickle.
The features, were awesome to say the least. I got it and set it up with all of my information, and began to work on it. Unlike Verizon, Cingular/ATT left their phones without any bloatware, just as Motorola had shipped it to them. That meant, that Bluetooth file transferring worked. I put ringtones and pictures on this phone.
It was pretty durable for how thin it was. Considering I dropped it more then a fair share of times, and didn't use a case of any sort on it, it held up well. I had issues towards the end of using it of it keeping a charge, and I tried 2 different batteries. My issue was basically it would only turn on if you held the power button in, and go immediately off once you'd let go. I couldn't try a different phone without paying, because being this phone was so expensive, Cingular didn't want to have to offer a plan for it.
i ended up going with the LG F9100. It wasn't a bad phone. I really loved the razr though. Just wished it would have lasted longer then 1 year. OH AND ALSO, I saw on a forum that this gives off more radiowaves then other phones. This might be something to consider as well, although, I mostly text.
Pros Slim design(not as slim as the super slice :P) Large internal display, Neat COLOR! XD
Cons Poor quality camera, low resolution display, tiny exterior display, HARD TO NAVIGATE
Summary My sister has this phone, and i use it frequently. It has good call quality, decent speakerphone quality, and a nice design, but other than that, its really a very mediocre phone. The screen has very poor resolution, even worse then the super slice i use,(which is at least 100-200$ cheaper), small external screen, and i found it difficult to do something even as simple as changing the ringtone, and i assure you thats no fault of my own. All in all, SKIP IT. there are better phones out there.
"nothing special"on by ilovejaffie
Pros the size, speaker phone, overall appearance
Cons poor quality camera, buttons sometimes hard to press.
Summary Nothing special but is a fine working phone. The thin design is the best part, and i've dropped it a lot and it still works. I got it for free though and wouldn't have paid big bucks for it.
"not worth my $200"on by eiledess
Pros loud ring and speaker
Cons echo, freezing, no charge
Summary I absolutely loved this phone when I got it a year ago. Now I hate it. I get an echo on most of my calls, my battery holds a charge for about 3 days when I rarely use my phone or even open it. My phone also freezes and i have to completly take it apart, battery & all to have it become unfrozen. I would not recommend this phone unless you get it for free. (I might still not even recomend it.)
Pros Great Keypad Layout and Great Speaker Quality as in any Motorola Phone.
Cons Awful camera, Small Memory, and easily scratched, not good Features
Summary Nice Design In The Shell On The Phone Also The Kaypad, But I Think They Forgot The Rest Of The Phone And Spent To Much Time On Design, Camera Is the Worst Camera Ever I Have Seen Better On A Moto v551, No Features No Music Player, And Theres Not Enough Memory For Anything, And The Phone Is So Easily Tarnished its Not Funny, So To Come Down To It If You Are All About Design And No Features The Razr Is For You But If Your Looking For A High Tech phone With A Clear Camera, This Phone Is Not For You.
