Cons: The Bluetooth interface on the V20 does not automatically reconnect whit a headset after going out of range or after cycling power. The phone's bluetooth menu is the only way to get the Bluetooth device opeartional again. Seriois bug...
Summary: If the Bluetooth device is powered off and back on, the VE20 does not automatically reconnect. The same thing is true if the Blutooth device gets out of range. The only option is to use the VE20's menu interface to reconnect with the Bluetooth headset. This is a pain at best and can be a serious saftey hazard while driving. Bluetooth users be aware...

I think your phone may be faulty--mine reconnects Bluetooth devices just fine.
After reading your review I ruled out this phone, but as my options were limited, I talked to the techies at my phone store. We linked the phone to 2 Motorola and one Jabra BT devices, then repeatedly turned them off and on, and the phone never failed to auto-link back to them. We even tried out-of-range reconnects and the phone never missed a beat. If I were you, I would take your phone back and get it checked over. As I said in my previous post, no BT auto-link would be a deal-killer for me, but my VE-20 is working perfectly so far. I will update if anything changes. -
Well, timmy, it's obvious you've never used a Bluetooth or live in a state where using a phone in a car is illegal (5 states, 17 states for novice drivers). This is a MAJOR flaw, most phones auto-reconnect and auto-discover linked Bluetooth devices. This is a deal breaker for me, thanks to ofudge I won't waste my time on this phone. And if you don't realize it, Bluetooth functions ARE part of the phone's software package.

Ok..what does bluetooth have to do with the phone??? I mean...just hold the phone and talk into it like a normal person...Don't be so lazy to hold the phone! And you gave it a 1.5 because only of bluetooth?? wow....
