Best phone Ever!by kompressor01 - September 12, 2009
Pros: Design, design, design, design and design again....
Who really care to do not have much apps when the phone is just the best looking ever made?
Cons: NOTHING-NOTHING-NOTHING
Review: This is my first phone (I bought it in 2003); it broke 2 weeks later :(
I bought another one in 2004- Somebody stole it :(
And I've just purchased one (august 2009) and this one I will keep it as a collector!!
It doesn't cost much on ebay- so one advice? Buy it and keep it well because maybe you will sell it for more than a 1000$ in few years...
When the phone was realeased in 2002 it cost 750$!!!!
Great Phone! I love you Motorola V70!!!!

Never a Dropped Callby gianni_mangano - January 9, 2006
Pros: Always finds a signal, and a great pocket phone
Cons: Hole for listening has to be right over ear or you can't hear. Games are horrible. Dimly lit screen.
Review: I have had my v70 for about 4 years now and I continue to use it as my 'club' phone because it's so small it doesn't take up much room in my pocket. I've never had a dropped call the whole time I've had the phone. Even when I was moving from Missouri to California I had a signal in the middle of the desert. The only downfall for this phone is that the games are horrible, and the screen is very plain. Basically, if you buy this phone it's for appearance and reception only. Nothing more.

Vanity!!!!!by budworth7 - October 14, 2005
Pros: Always gets attention
Cons: As basic as an average house phone.
Review: Found a deal where I bought 2 for $200 in 2002. WAP is slow and tedious to access. Screen is small and difficult to read, esp at night. Small buttons/somtimes unresponsive. Loud and reliable, though.

NOT WHAT IT WAS EXPECTEDby - May 25, 2004

Cons: After a while of using the phone the buttons become miss alined with the circuits, whic after a while makes it very difficult to answer phone and even harder to send texts.

Looks good, Bad designby - April 8, 2003
Pros:
Cons:
Review: Everyone will agree the phone looks the business. Yep, everybody wants to have a look at it - but that's not really what its for! Buttons are hard to use, screen is useless, spinny design is a wearable item. Mine has just been swapped as the phone had internal interference. I think it's down to the constant 'spinning' - no hard wire between the 2 phone parts

uggh, what a good looking mistakeby - April 2, 2003
Pros:
Cons:
Review: I am a cellphone junkie, this is by far the coolest looking phone i have owned. Saddly it also the worst. Luckily t-mobile's handset exchange is awesome, they have sent me four units in the past three months. At first it was just the menu keys but my last three have simply shut off at will, making the phone useless for anything other than attracting attention, just hope you don't need to call one of those women... other than that it has no alarm clock, go figure...

Two Words: Chick Magnetby - March 26, 2003
Pros:
Cons:
Review: If you feel the need to look hip andd prepie, this is definitally the phone for you. I've had mine for 4 months now, and would be lost without it. I get perfect service everywhere I go in LA, and even on the 5 up to San Fran, and the 10 out to Phx with T-Moblile. (Well, I tried to make a call from somewhere in Splash Mountain, and got less than stellar reception.) The battery life is great, calls are always clear, and it just looks cool. On the whole I love this phone, and would recommend it to anyone.

Buy it for the looks and size, not features.by - March 4, 2003
Pros:
Cons:
Review: Coolness of this phone is confirmed by gawkers EVERY DAY. FM radio works great, earphones look just slick as the phone. Moto's ITAP method of text entry is incredibly painful to use, especially when compared to the simplicity of T9 text messaging of Nokia, Samsung, etc. The phone is "slow"- I can enter the correct number of keystrokes to access a number in the phonebook and have to wait for the phone to catch up in order to "send." I find it happeniing often, considering the Voice Calling can't tell the obvious audible difference between "Jay" and "Kelly".

Too slow or what?by - February 17, 2003
Pros:
Cons:
Review: I find the memory capacity of this phone too slow. Especially when you have sms to read or going into the menu function. It seems to "freeze" if you move too fast through the menu options.

What is Motorola thinking?by - February 14, 2003
Pros:
Cons:
Review: This is a beautiful phone. I saw it in London last May and wanted it. Fortunately, they did not have it in stock, otherwise I would have been sorry. When I returned to the US, I decided that I wanted a V70. I went to the Cingular store and asked about the phone. Then they told me that it was single band. I thought, this guy is pretty stupid. Whey would Motorola bring out their sexiest product ever and not make it a tri-band? He must be mistaken. So I checked the web site. I downloaded the manual. Then I checked the cell phone store websites in the UK. I could not believe what I was reading. Motorola has made yet another bone head decision. They have brought out one of the sexiest designs ever, with a price to match, but it won't work outside North America. The V70 for sale in the UK is dual band (900/1800 MHz), but it will not work in North America. Motorola makes some great phones. Their products have excellent quality, but to whom are their marketing people talking? Motorola is unlikely to regain their lost market share by bringing out high priced, beautiful phones that can not travel internationally.

what garbage.by - February 11, 2003
Pros:
Cons:
Review: how could motorola put its name on this flimsy phone and then sell it. Clip broke the very next day and the swivel ear piece is just too flimsy to think it would last for more than a month. Drop this phone and that is it. Poof, gone, see ya,....This phone is made to never leave your house or the box it came in. Too cheap for me. Looks great but she just can't hang like a real phone.

Work of Artby - January 22, 2003
Pros:
Cons:
Review: I really like what Motorola has done with the V70. It looks as if the phone fell out of a James Bond flick(even though he uses Nokia mostly....darn Nokia product placement contracts) Data connection works great on both my IpaQ and my Toshiba laptop. Interchangable bezels and even a blue or yellow hand crank portable power generator as an option, what's not to love about this phone. The only minor (and I do mean minor)drawback is no downloadable ring tones and no color selection on the LCD (can you imagine a white on black LCD ? wicked!!) Get this phone if you want everyone to look at you whenever you slide the little devil open and start punching keys!

Looks cool but...by - January 16, 2003
Pros:
Cons:
Review: I've had mine now for about 4 months. The lighting is not good enough for the size of the display, the programming is not as smart as Nokia's, about once a week it forgets my forwarding number, the top keys are starting to have trouble, and when you pull the phone out of your pocket when the phone rings, the odds are good that you will hang up on the person who called because the phone easily slides open and closed. Other than that I love the phone.

Coolest Phone Around!by - January 12, 2003
Pros:

Tin cans tied together with string would work better!by - January 8, 2003
Pros:
Cons:
Review: Incredibly stylish. Sexy. A date magnet. Too bad the phone part doesn't work. I thought I was buying a phone not a fashion accessory. This phone is fuzzy. Unclear. Drops calls. (I blame that on horrible Cingular NYC). I got rid of mine...I went back to my ugly, design limited Motorola StarTac 7868 with Verizon and once again, every call clear as a bell. Whew. This phone was a pure nightmare.

Stylish and User-Friendlyby - December 27, 2002
Pros:
Cons:
Review: i just got this phone...have 2 say tht as far as style goes it clearly has it all. menus are fairly easy 2 navigate once you get used 2 them. could use more features though. Downloadable ringtones would be an excellent feature, or infared, or bluetooth. However i would recommend this phone to anyone just because of the looks it gets when u take it out 2 make a call. battery life and call time are excellent too.t-mobiles call quality is pretty good too.

This is a great example of design over function!by - December 13, 2002
Pros:
Cons:
Review: I love the design of the phone as I have small hands and it's lightweight, too, but the face is black and the backlight is blue. If you have sunglasses on, forget about reading the phone's face. At night, in the car, where it's dark around you, it is the same issue. If there were only a way to change the color of the face, it would be a great phone.

EXCELLENT PHONE!! GREAT DESIGN - NO PROBLEMS HERE! I would not have any other phone on the market!by - December 12, 2002
Pros:
Cons:
Review: This is honestly a work of art from Motorola. Continuing their unique design and innovation through their v-series, the v70 is nothing short of the pinnacle of their work. I use the phone for T-Mobile and it works excellent! Great reception, the speakers for both the ringers and talking are excellent and people can hear me crystal clear. This is honestly the best phone i have ever had without a doubt- I LOVE IT!
