    "Great Phone!" on by ttownd

Pros: Love the display, and easy to use

Cons: Not a huge fan of flat number pad

Summary: Overall this is an excellent phone! The call quality is fantasic. My last 3 phones were LG6100, LG8100, and LG8300. I love the quality of LG phones. However, I wanted to try something new. Subsequently I did a lot of research before purchasing.
Upon going to the verizon store and looking at the LG8350 I asked about the Motorola Z6c. The salesperson said that they have not had many "comebacks", which made me feel confortable. I went home an order the Motorola Z6c from verizons website (I saved $50 doing it that way)
I have had this phone for 2 weeks and I am already used to all of the functions. I am not a world traveler so I don't care about GSM/CDMA, so I won't comment on that.
Aside from having to get used to flat keypad... I LOVE THIS PHONE!

"Z6c delivers exactly what it boasts" on by jstark56

Pros: CDMA/GSM Functionality; Menu Navigation & Softkeys; Form Factor

Cons: Smudges; International SMS; Verizon Menus

Summary: I purchased this phone one week ago, and I have been very happy thus far with the overall performance.

    Pros~
    International and Unlock Codes:
The same day of purchase, I call Verizon Support to have my phone unlocked as I will be international for the next 4 – 6 months; they gave me the unlock code over the phone. I currently have a SIM card from Malta and checked the unlock code and loaded the Malta SIM card, not to use the card but to test the code. There were no problems; the phone registered the card. I then switched back to CDMA Only and I was back to my original settings.

    Battery Life and Talk Time:
I have been away from home this past week and have been using my phone on a regular basis. I state this because I have not been in a phone charge routine. I left home on Sunday and finally charged my phone on Wednesday, even though I still had one bar of charge remaining. Battery life has been more than exceptional!

    For Factor and Stability:
I was nervous at first about the purchase of a slider. I have been interested before was turned off due to flimsy design and worry of breaking the spine of the phone (something has to make the phone stay open, and with other sliders I knew I would find the way to break it). This phone is slim enough to put in my front pocket, sturdy with slider out and hardy just enough that you have something in your hand.

    External Softkeys and Navigation:
This area of the phone has both pros and cons. I like the fact that I can navigate my phone by using the shortcut keys and Softkeys without opening the slider. The navigation (shortcut) keys can be set to specific menus and submenus. I like this feature but would liked to have seen a more granular menu of choices. I like to lock my phone when not in use during the day, just in case it falls into little hands or strangers. I would have liked to set a shortcut key to this submenu, but the list of choices is not that intricate.

    Cons~
    Besides calls and texts internationally:
This is a definite negative for this phone. While abroad the Z6c will make and receive calls and texts, however the SMS, e-mail push and IM are no longer available (unless you purchase an international plan with Verizon). These areas are not that important to me, I’ll be on business and will have access to other forms of communication, but it is a hindrance to the Multi-media facets of the phone as a whole.

    Smudgy Phone:
The outside of the phone is polished and picks up every finger, face and ear print. This bugs me enough to clean the phone face once or twice a day. It isn’t that big of a deal but still a nuisance!

"Phone fell apart" on by ccrider1100

Pros: Clear, easy to read screen, great receptino

    Cons: poor quality contruction

Summary: I was surpised my phone came apart at the screen within one week of light usage. Motorola typically makes fine equipment. Returned it to verizon with no hassles. Would have liked to keep the phone, but if this is the way the phone is made, no thanks. I'll wait till something else comes out. Perhaps Verizon sent me a used phone that was repaired (highly likely).

"Absolutely dislike this phone!" on by cobbler

Pros: The possibility of using it overseas-somthing I'll never find out about first hand as I am going back to my old LGvx8300.

Cons: Very low volume-have to use spkrphone on most calls.
Terrible standard ringtones and alarm has no snooze option.
Much prefer the flip-type phone over the slider.

Summary: I replaced my LGVX8300 with this phone & I am glad I didn't buy any accessories for it as I am going back to my old phone. The battery time is lousy. Most times the phone doesn't get heavy use, but I have to charge it everyday.

The memory card is located inconveniently under the battery cover so I hardly ever remove it to download/upload pics or music to/from my computer. The side switch used to activate the speaker is the same switch used to play music-the duration of the press on the switch determines which one is acttivated. No flash of self-portrait mode with camera.

I often use the alarm feature on my cell phones & the LG's I've had usually have the snooze feature-this Moto does not. It is just 1 long, continuous ringing for 1hour if you are too lazy to get up, and the standard ringtones are awful.

I think I have good hearing, but the volume is very low. Most times even with the speakerphone on, I still have difficulty hearing. I have to keep asking the person on the other end to repeat what they said. There are times when you don't want to use the speakerphone so other people won't be privy toi your conversation, so this is a great, big inconvenience to me.

Just a horrible, horrible phone for me.

"Ambient noise a big problem" on by ares158

Pros: good looking; easy to use

    Cons: conversations can be difficult

Summary: For the most part, I really like this phone, but I'm really having trouble with the way it picks up every sound in the room or outdoors.

When there is any noise in the background, the person on the other end cannot hear me. All ambient noise is a problem. TV/radio need to be turned off. All street noise drowns me out. I think the microphone is in the wrong place. But the twist to this problem is that the ear speaker is great, so in the loudest bar or windiest street, I can hear the caller, but they can't hear me respond.

I haven't had any trouble with the battery. I agree it's a fingerprint magnet. Keypad lock works great.

Bottom line, if it weren't for the sound, I'd give this phone a 9.
