"Great idea, poor quality construction"2.5 starson by teabing
Pros: Slider worked just fine and the speaker phone part worked with the slider closed which was nice if you wanted to do a conference call with family. Controls were consistent with Motorola which was nice as it wasn't necessary to learn anything new.
Cons: Very faulty construction. First phone worked kind of and then just up and wouldn't let me get to the controls. Replaced it with another and it fell apart. Third phone was a different company and was horrible.
Summary: This phone was a very good idea but Motorola must have cut a lot of corners because it was just so very poorly constructed. As noted my first one was OK until the controls stopped working. It also would not pair with my Macintosh via bluetooth (that was the first problem but was not a bother as it wasn't really necessary except that photos could not be moved from the phone wirelessly), the controls were the second thing to go so ATT replaced it with another that worked just fine with the blue tooth connection and everything else that I wanted it to do. It fell apart. A third replacement from ATT was a Samsung slider and worthless. Found a replacement phone from Motorola that is a flip phone and it is still going strong but had to pay for it but it was cheap. Plan on moving to an iPhone or a Droid by Motorola and switch carriers to Verizon hoping that they will get the iPhone in the next 6 months.
