Pros Doesn't scratch easily at all. I've dropped it 10 times on Concrete and it will not scratch or break. Speakerphone sounds pretty good. The Camera is quite nifty for those random times of fun.
Cons Camera is a bit grainy, the "Night Mode" for the camera doesn't work well at all. Phone calls have been dropped numerous times while I've had a full set of bars.
Summary Overall, this is a good, solid, and fun phone. People can't usually hear me well while on speakerphone, and seems like I have to shout a lot, but it's an okay phone for people like me who have butterfingers.
This phone has also been through numerous shows(I am a guitar player for an rock band), and when I play I go crazy. I'm all over the place, and putting all my body weight on the phone in my pocket when I'm on the ground sometimes(I'm a big dude.). It comes out with out a scratch!
Great for teens, wild childs, or fashionable people.
Pros Its fun to record your own ringtones
Cons you drop it, and you can never turn it on again
Summary I got this phone Dec of 04' and by spring I had dropped it once and the power button broke. I didn't find that our until I was headed for a meeting and afterwards was trying to turn it on. Then I had to tear it apart because I could not afford to ship it out to the company and find out out what was wrong with it. Honestly, I used to love the phone but it started breaking up piece by piece and then my warranty ran out without any chance of replacing my phone, because it's only availible through pre-paid wireless.
Pros lets u customize your phones exterio. really sturdy, I dropped it from about 6m onto a tiled floor and it came out without a dent. Good call quality.
Cons poor camera quality but i guess it was good back in the day
Summary Great for someone who needs a reliable phone that won't break because of a small accident.
Pros Very durable reliable phone.
Cons Its not a high tech super phone.
Its battery life isn't what it used to be after 5-6 years.
Summary I bought this phone when it first came out on the market. Its been my only phone ever since. I've dropped it down several flights of stairs, its slipped out of my hands onto the the concrete numerous times, and after all this time it still works great.
I'm finally retiring my phone because the years have not been kind to its battery life. I hope my next phone last me as long as this one.
Pros Compact size, carrying strap, fun faceplate possibilities (mine's got Hello Kitty, cut out of an old valentine), good call quality, voice recorder can be used to create ringtones
Cons aging, with little technical support, people freak out over 2-number-per-key layout (but it's actually faster to type text messages!)
Summary I have had this phone since November, 2004. It has everything I'd like in a phone except stopwatch and mp3 player/ringtones. It is far more durable than cnet's 2-year old review gave it credit for, and has maintained excellent call quality up until Cingular stopped supporting us old ATT Wireless customers (and the battery started dying).
I still recommend this phone if you can find it. If not, the only comparably "fun" phone is the Sony Ericsson w600i, but Cingular just stopped carrying that as well. <sigh>
