"Excellent flip phone with smart phone features!"
Pros: Good call quality, light weight, excellent display quality, access to functions in front display, long battery life, keys offer easy texting, sync to PC and MS Outlook calendar, ability to install Quickoffice and Adobe Reader.
Cons: Camera quality is ok, you must purchase additional software to use all smart phone features (Quickoffice and Adobe Reader).
Summary: I wanted a flip phone that had good call quality and smart phone features and this phone is perfect for those who want these features. I am guessing that in several years the smart phone features on this phone will be expected on all flip phones. I wanted to sync to my PC and MS Outlook calendar and read MSOffice or PDF files that I receive as email attachments. For about $70, I purchased Quickoffice to open and edit Word, PowerPoint, and Excel files and add Adobe Reader to open PDF files. These programs have worked well, but I am glad that I also purchased a 2 GB memory card for the phone; it fills up quickly. I use a bluetooth device with my PC to sync with the phone; this has worked well. The names of callers stopped being displayed after the first time I synchronized my PC and phone. The names of contacts were duplicated, confusing the phone on who was calling. Just eliminate duplicate listings to fix this problem.
Phone features-I have tried most of the features on the phone. Call quality is good. I use the hearing aid feature; it eliminates some of the background sounds on calls and I like the sound of the callers with this feature. The speaker phone sounds fairly good and is loud enough to use in my car. Ring tones are loud enough for me to hear. The main display is colorful and clear. The outer display allows access to many functions (music player, calendar, etc) and is also high quality. The keypad light color options are nice, as are the themes that come with the phone. The battery lasts a long time on this phone. Web browsing is fast and all functions run quickly. The key placement allows for easy text messaging. The only problems I have had are: 1) I have accidentally pressed the dedicated GPS key just under the scroll key a number of times; I have trained myself not to hit this key, and 2) the main display zoom only goes up to 125%; most of the time this is fine, but it would be nice to have 150% as an option. Quickoffice and Adobe Reader do have higher zoom options when reading files. The camera is ok. I did not expect the camera in this phone to be my main camera, so I am not disappointed with the camera. Overall, I am very pleased with this phone!
