  • "Nice on the inside, outside not so much"
    on by ellebee48

Pros This phone works quite well and is very user-friendly. It has a really good display with very nice customization options for set-up and menus. Very nice camera, and I love the radio, which is really quite good.

Cons There are some problems with the exterior of this phone.

Summary The outer display broadcasts the name of who you're talking to in a very large font - not private enough for me - tried to disable the "light effects", but couldn't even though there's an option for that. (Bugginess in the software?) But If disabled, you'd miss the other info that you do want: like if you missed a call, etc.... though that info didn't seem to show up anyway.

It's winter and the phone got uncomfortably cold to touch-- I suppose it will get too hot in summer.

My covers, once removed, never went back on again properly, went to 2 different T-Mobile stores -- they couldn't do it either.

T-Mobile told me to send the phone back, which I'm doing.

I feel bad that I'm sending this phone back, it's a really nice phone in a really bad package.

  • "Great look, MAJOR manufacturing issues"
    on by ChelseaGrachek

Pros Great look and feel, external display is the most interesting thing about the phone, good speaker phone quality.

Cons Replaceable covers are extremely hard to remove, microSD card is located behind the back cover, some settings are difficult to locate and change.

Summary Sure this phone looks cool and feels nice in your hand, but there are major manufacturing issues with it. I had to replace it twice in less than 2 and a half months. After about a 2 months or so of having the first one, it began shutting off by itself and freezing up while I was typing a text message. I went to a T-Mobile store and got it replaced for free. The second one lasted about 2 weeks and would shut off and wouldn't always receive text messages or calls. Again I went to the T-Mobile store and they replaced it again for free. So far, the 3rd one has been fine. I'm extremely disappointed with the performance of this phone. I wish I would have never bought this phone.

  • "*BEWARE:NOKIA 7510-MAJOR DEFECTIVE MANUFACTURING PROBS*"
    on by RickSibbett

Pros Cool look no doubt and nice weight, but major manufacturing defects with the Nokia 7510!

Cons Replaced (3) times in three months! ... keypad stops working, the phone starts dialing all by itself, covers are hard to remove, sound is too low, cover plate readout is dim, center button is too close to the on & off button. Hard to remove battery.

Summary BAD PHONE!!! Yes it looks nice in the store! It is alluring, appealing and has a nice weight to the phone to suggest quality! However, nothing could be further from the truth! There is clearly a major malfunction/manufacturing defect in this newly marketed and design cell phone. Three strikes and you're out NOKIA 7510. Now go shut yourself off and deactivate your keypad- never to work properly again with someone else- but NOT ME!!! I tried three times!!! I GIVE UP!!!

  • "Great phone for its price range it has a lot of extras!"
    on by private37620

Pros FM Radio, 8 GB Micro SD Capable, GREAT Video, Picture viewing, very nice sounding speakerphone both with music and calls, flash for camera has "double flash" for red eye reduction, create download themes, nice stereo earbuds, Micro USB Port

Cons The phone uses a MICRO USB cable which I have had trouble finding and refuse to pay $29.99 for from T-Mobile or Nokia. The changeable covers are too hard to change and it is worse that the Micro SD slot is under them

Summary This is basically an upgraded Nokia 6301 (which I REALLY like) turned into a flip phone. I have only had this phone for a few days, but I am very happy that Nokia made it. I started realizing how much I hated the Bar Type phone which the Nokia 6301 is, but I really like the sound, call quality and dependability of the 6301 so I used it until this one came out. The 6301 appears to have a better antenna because the signal is a solid 5 bars, but the 7510 has the tendancy for its signal to wave like an ocean...lol
I have already downloaded several very nice themes from the internet for the phone, if you do not have a MICRO USB cable you can put your themes on a Micro SD Card then copy them to the phones theme folder OR just leave them on the Micro SD Card and run them from there...if you change your themes often like I do then I suggest that you leave them on the Micro SD card because the phone does not have a lot of spare memory. This phone is useful in many more ways than just to talk and text on...I use it as an iPod the only difference is, iPods can't make calls or take pictures and videos.
Here are a couple website links where you can create of download Themes for free for this and many other phone models.

If you get this phone and have trouble finding a Data cable for it remember that it uses a MICRO USB CABLE not a Mini. I was told that any UNIVERSAL MICRO USB CABLE would work including ones made by other companies.

WARNING: I took my Nokia 7510 back to T-Mobile for a refund due to Free User Memory issues. It is states 27 MB Free User Memory. My first 2 only had 1.3 free the next 2 had 8.4 free. After deleteing what I could it got 10. This means you cant use Picture Caller ID unless you only have 3 or 4 contacts becaue the phone memory gets used up that fast. PLUS, if you download games you will have no available space for ringtones etc. You can put an 8 GB memory car in the phone, BUT, a lot of things like Picture/Video Caller ID "REQUIRE" that the Picture/Video be on the phone. I really like the phone other than that and will purchase it again if they do a firmware upgrade to fix that. That is if I don't like the UNLOCKED GSM iPhone Clone that I just ordered for the same price with dual sim cards etc. lol That will probably be a no brainer. I think it is time that people just start buying UNLOCKED phones so they don't have to deal with all the extra garbage that carriers put on their phones.

  • "Really like this phone!"
    on by ddazzle57

Pros Nice feel, changeable face plates, clear screen, buttons are easy for texting, outside lighted display is so cool, can change font size, camera is good, good call quality

Cons a little hard to see outside lighted display when in sunlight, don't like look of digital time display

Summary Overall, this phone is great! I have ordered others and sent them back, but this one is a keeper! The call quality is great, nice and clear. The outside display is innovative and very cool looking. The inner screen is big and clear enough for viewing. I think this is a great phone for the money!
