"Great Smartphone"on by paulogaeta
Pros It's really light and slim. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs a great unlocked smartphone with WiFi and 3G
Cons keys a bit too small, camera not that great.
Pros Much more compact than my old E61. Reads my Outlook and other office apps
Cons It has lost installed programs several times. Some apps are hard to load
Summary Best smart phone I've had to date!
Pros Heavy shiny covers
Cons Software bugs, poor/no customer service, lacks good email support programs and low battery life. No wonder Nokia is tier 3 in US
Summary Stay away save yourself tons of headaches after 2 to 3 months of use (or lack of use due to issues)
Pros Great reception and call quality
Very good design
Cons Average camera quality
Lack of apps (Ovi Store upcoming though)
Summary I have been using this phone ever since October 2008, and while it is not as easy to use as an iPhone, it is an excellent smartphone. It overall feel is quite solid, despite the thinness of the device.
The functions are very complete, and the phone can be do as much, if not more, than what the netbooks can. It's a perfect travel mate right inside your pocket period.
Pros BEAUTIFUL, superb craftmanship, basically every feature imaginable, blazing fast WIFI and 3G, excellent MP3 player amazing sound even with Bluetooth stereo headsets, built in FM radio tuner, Tons of free downloadable Symbian softwares
Cons Battery guzzler, Slow at times, Bad camera, 8G memory card limit
Summary All the features anyone wants and needs even some that's not offer in the US yet like Video calls via 3G! It makes a great MP3 player, I popped in an 8-Gig micro-SD card and it's good as gold. Amazing sound quality with the standard headset and even the wireless Stereo Bluetooth headset. You can download and run all sort of Symbian software from the web (tons of free ones) Tons of work applications, great with emails. Very easy to Sync to your computer, very intuitive software. Great for REAL web cruising minus the fancy flash sites.
Compare to my Moto Q, this Nokia is abit laggy in accessing apps and functions but that Q is hard to beat in that aspect, however it's a whole lot faster than my BB Curve. Another bad thing is the camera it is a 3 Mpx, however it is just bad period! The battery life is very bad also. It got a great mAh rating but can not go more than 2 days with out charging with nominal usage. I thought I had a bad battery. I called and complaint to Nokia they sent me another one, same problem different battery. The current firmware only allow a maximum of 8gb memory card, this is rather low compare to the competitors I have a feeling that they will change this in the next software release.
Overall I highly reccomend this beautiful phone. The exclusivity of not having any US carrier picking it up is also a nice perk :-D
