"Simply the Best."
Pros: Fantastically powerful smart phone. Very good call quality. Extremely fast in operation. Nokia active standby screen very easy to navigate through.
Cons: It is quite heavy compared to my 9300, and the onboard calendar application is a little dated. I bought aquacalender which is a little better, though still not perfect.
Summary: Initially I expected Symbian 60 to be a let down from the Symbian 80 on my Nokia 9300, as there are less softkeys, but it is very fast and robust, and in the end I much prefer the E90 over the 9300. Third party software solutions like Skyquikey or T9Nav mean that any contact/calendar entry can be accessed immediately from the numeric keypad (e.g. you don't have to hit the 2 key 3 times for C, as Skyquikey knows what you are trying to look for based on history and pattern matching). Keyboard is great for a clumsy two fingered typist like me. I get 3-4 days battery life so long as I switch off bluetooth/WiFi when not in use. Handsfree is simply a case of opening the clamshell. The phone is very well built and I don't need a separate soft case to store it in like many touch screen users have. It sits in my pocket along with keys/loose change etc. So much faster to use than any touchscreen phone. I use Google maps rather than Nokia maps, which is slow and a bit clunky. Google maps has a great facility to store search results for say local restaurants as a contact, as well as calling the search result directly. Very neat. Very useful.
It is no surpise to me that Nokia is the market leader in smartphones, as their smartphones actually work, and this is their Rolls Royce
