Pros Buttery-smooth Windows 8 performance, good battery life, decent display, loud speaker, tremendous value.
Cons No LTE, no flash, 512mb RAM, Windows apps are still a little lacking(at least it isn't Blackberry's app store)
Summary Everyone keeps saying this is a great phone for less tech-savvy users, I say anyone who's on a budget will appreciate this phone, regardless of level of smartphone experience. I've had high-end android phones, an iphone4s, and this could possibly be close to as good as anything I've owned, aside from a few hardware downgrades. But, for a quarter of the price of those other phones, you're getting something comparable, without the headaches of android or the incompatibilities of apple. Considering overall value for what you get, this phone can't be beat.
"Great value!"on by kmiszczak
Pros Value, Nokia music
Cons No camera flash
Summary The price is good for this phone. Really capable of everyday tasks.
Pros Price, Windows 8 operating system, battery life, nice pictures
Cons No front facing camera of LTE
Cannot save apps on the SD card (strange since my old Windows Mobile 6.5 phone allowed me to).
Some problems storing audio albums on SD card - albums get split into two albums.
Summary Since I don't use a front facing camera, and LTE is not offered in my area, neither of the cons apply to my particular situation. Have had this now for 5 days, and could be happier. Battery lasts a fully day, going down to 60% on moderate calling and regular data and texting usage, plus a few pictures. Contrast this to my former phone, a Lumia 710, which I had to charge throughout the day!
Pros Excellent OS. Fast and fluid with almost no lag. Easily customizable themes. Replaceable battery, expandable storage. Fast data with HSDPA+. And number 1, THE PRICE!!
Cons Capacitive buttons are not backlit. No camera flash. No LTE (but HSDPA+ is just as fast in most markets in my opinion)
Summary If you are looking for a way to save some money on your cell bill, I can't think of a better way to do it than this phone on T-mobile. You can pick this up for $30 at T-mo and pay $5/month for 24 months. Or pay it all up front. I actually bought this for my mom from the Microsoft Store, because they have a better return policy. But not only am I sure she won't return it, I am honestly considering buying one for myself. I don't think I would replace my S3 with it, since I have already paid $600 for my S3.
But if you have someone who isn't a power user, but does want a good smart phone, with a nice interface, a decent selection of apps, but doesn't want to deal with the complications of Android, or the price of Apple, then hits a home run.
But don't be misled, this isn't just a good phone for your non-tech savvy wife, or mother, or a good first phone for a teenager. This is an amazing phone and could be an excellent option for just about anybody. It completely changed my opinion of Windows Phone OS.
Pros Price, features, Windows Phone 8, microSD slot.
Cons No front camera, no flash, no compass.
Summary Amazing phone for the price. Runs extremely smooth. Great phone if you can get your hands on one!
