"Great phone for professional workers and easy to set up"
5.0 starson by efeistelPros: Gorilla glass screen requires no special gloves and readable in sunlight. MicroSD card allows up to 64GB of added storage. Free Nokia apps for streaming music and turn by turn voice directions. T-Mobile data service only one with no caps on usage.
Cons: Limited backcover colors. Missing image stabilization for camera (but SteadyCam app helps to resolve and still very good photos even in poor lighting). Apps are limited but professional workers will find high quality productivity tools they need.
Summary: My employer is moving from company phones to a BYOD plan. I retired a Blackberry and selected a Windows Phone as the replacement. I wasn't too concerned about the limited color selections of the 810 since any normal person is going to put their phone in a protective case anyway. I've been using for two weeks and so far very pleased. Phone seems quite comparable in size, thickness and overall appearance to my wife's Samsung Galaxy SII, especially when we have the protective cases on them. Looks very nice to me and seems more rugged than some other phones on the market. I believe performance is slightly faster than HTC Phone 8X, but the difference is negliable to the average user. Free 7GB on Microsoft SkyDrive is very nice for backups and transfers of photos and videos. Integration with work environment is a real plus, such as SharePoint Online access to documents via Office hub and the ability to use Lync 2010 in conjunction with Office 365's Lync Online service. You can't do either of these things on iOS or Android device. Xbox integration is also very nice. We have two Xboxes for gaming and entertainment at home. I like that I can stay in touch with my son when he is gaming (and can't hear the phone ring since he wears headphones for the game). I also like the ability to use the phone itself as a make shift remote control for watching movies on TV (see Smartglass app) or even as an impromptu game controller. I like the Live Tile functionality that places key information on my home screen so that at a glance I see everything that is going on with my appointments and colleagues trying to reach me. I am just amazed at how good the phone really is considered some of the reviews I've read. I think some reviewers may be locked in some kind of mental paradigm on iPhones and not really looking closely at what Windows Phone is really capable of doing. The combination with Nokia to me makes this a hands down superior choice over HTC. The Nokia apps are really that good.
