"Spectacular performance on Rogers 3G! iPhone Killer."
Pros: Call Quality amazing no flaws and relably Nokia. 5MP camera, Industry leading. Symbian app are unending. Hundreds of thousands avail. 8GB and Nokia PC suite with Media Centre ( For Music Compression is fantastic). GPS is great, mail interface good.
Cons: Apps. are not as easily found and categorized by device ? Nokia! Give us the Cake too! Camera is excellent but adjusting light is difficult. Cannot remove or transfer media without PC? (Cannot print photos at a print store-must download to a pc 1st)
Summary: Absolutely amazing product. Far superiorin perfomance of every feature over an iiphone. For the No corporate consumer, there is no finer product. Battery life is outstanding at 1500Mah. screen is huge, Media is fantastic and the available symbian Apps are neverending. I just wish Nokia or aother resource third part would categorize a database on device specific symbian apps for easier cataloging. as in the Apple Apps store. Many of the features are more difficult to learn but always out perform. It seams as though the Carrier support of this smartphone is always lagging behind the flashy product of the day. ( I e Blackberry support or iPhone support)
It seams that nokia has invested an enormous amount of quality into the produc but has not deployed enough resources to help its users actually USE the products to their potential. Modesty is admirabloe but when your the Best, you need to show people why!!! PRoof is in the performance. I dont need a touch screen if you just show me how...
Only detraction I would advise is the main button interface is just a little on the small site for average users with normal sized hands and the the central Select button would benefit from a 'mouse' oriented control capability i.e the RIM 'Scroll Point' technology. 4 direction controls and a select capability would be easier.
OVERALL a Fantastic multimedia experience with exceptional quality, WiFi, Great camera,GPS, Gaming, Music Media, Large Screen, Symbian OS, ...etc the list keeps going ... I love it. Just help me learn how to use more of it better?
I would have rated a 5/5 apart from the small issues I have outlined.
A) Nokia needs to support thte product more drectly and through the carriers.
B) Easier App's acquisition than scouring the internet and filtering every Symbian App.
C) Main buttons could be a tad larger for easier control with one hand.
Maybe these have all been resolved on the N96? But I just dished out a wad for the N95? Upgrade program?
Updated on Nov 6, 2008Only a Qwerty keyboard would maximize the experience...
