- N85 is much betterSummary: Although the phone has almost everything you would want, there are other phones on the market such as the N85 which is $552 and has everything that the N96 has except the 16GB storage and has much more, a gorgeous OLED screen, scroll wheel on D-pad, smaller form factor, media dedicated keys change in camera mode, better build quality and puts less strain on your pocket. Overall, the N96 is not the best of buys when there are phones like the N85 on the market.

I have the N85 and the N96 and the N85 screen is not all that great, colors are not life like and the screen washes out in sunlight which makes it useless outside.Plus the small size of the N85 screen makes using this phone for anything other than phone calls totally useless.The N96 screen is much better for use as web browsing and movie watching, I have loaded many of the movies from Amazon that I got with my 5800 on my N96 and the large screen is great for movie watching, even better than the 5800. Outside the N96 screen is great also. The N85 Bulid quality is not all that great you run a 50/50 chance of getting a bad one that will fall apart, just google N85 build quality and see all the hits you will get. All in all the N85 is not better than the N96 at all. I was luckey and got a solid N85 but I know many that did not, check Howard forums in the S60 sub forum and see.
