Pros: querty keyboard, smooth slide mechanism, bright screen, Apps GALORE!, GPS navigation works great, battery life is excellent, Micro-USB port & cable is also a plus. HTML browser is quick with 3G.

Cons: Numbers on keyboard are hard to see, creaky plastic case, screen is a bit small. No WI-FI capability

Summary: This being my second smart phone, the first I won't mention because it was a total POS. The surge is light years ahead. I like the fact that I can use the USB connector to transfer data from my PC to the phone or use it to connect a microUSB mouse. The slide mechanism for the keyboard is ultra smooth and locks firmly. The phone has apps GALORE. I travel alot so I purchased the GPS nav package and it works great, lots of maps to choose from and download and the voice GPS nav feature is especially nice. The HTML browser works good with a good realiable 3G network. I like the compact size, even though I think the screen could be bit bigger but it does the job. The keyboard is easy to use and has a nice sturdy feel to it. Battery life is good for a smartphone. My favorite feature is how you can instantly access all your email accounts with one push of a button, Love that feature!! Overall i'm very happy with the surge, compared to the last smartphone I had, it's lightyears ahead!!
