"Really a 9.5 - Almost perfect" on by thefa
Pros: It was free (with New Every Two), it's easy to use, it has a great camera and external micro-SD card support. The calendar and task list are very intuitive. You can record your own ring tones for FREE
Cons: The keyboard is small, but it has to be in order for the phone to be small. The web browser is sort of annoying if you are viewing non-mobile browser friendly web pages.
Summary: It’s a relatively small smart phone. It fits in your pocket easily or in a case. You have to shop around for cases though because the phone is too big for “regular cell phone” cases and too small for “regular” PDA phone cases. I bought the pirate themed case on Verizon’s Website and it fits like a glove, but it definitely is not for everyone since it is black and white striped. I have had the phone for about 2 .5 weeks now and use it all the time for reminding me to do things, surfing the web and talking on the phone. Set up was a breeze. I really love the calendar and task lists. It is so easy compared to using the ones that come on a regular cell phone. If you have ever used a Palm, then you’ll be used to its layout. I get about 2-3 days of battery life with moderate use. I talk maybe about 30 minutes a day and web surf about another 30. I am just an average joe, not some high powered business man using the phone all day for e-mailing. The keyboard works fine, even if you have larger hands. It’s not great for typing long e-mails, but what do you expect!? You either get a small phone with small keyboard or big phone with big keyboard. I hope that helps. Enjoy!

"If you like Palm you'll love the Centro" on by kokidko
Pros: A complete package! Everything you expect from Palm in a concise package
Cons: I had difficulty with the p-tune radio streaming. The stylus is flimsy. Not unlocked for travel outside of Verizon's coverage area for use overseas.
Summary: I thought the small keyboard would be a problem, but with the rubber coated keys, there has not been a problem. I am male with average size hands. Perhaps with larger hands it might be a problem. Try it out in the store before you buy. The e-mail, has been seamless and excellent. I downloaded PDAtuner to supplement the p-tune to get my worldwide radio stations and although the manufacturer was surprised that it worked on the Centro, again I was immensely impressed. I did notice after loading the palm desktop and syncing with the centro, that I started getting error messages when I synced subsequently with my Palm Tungsten. But seeing that I am now have everything on my Centro I found no reason to use the Tungsten. I added MobileWrite to help in the use of the touch screen writing. The only program I wanted to have on my Centro, but didn't work was Golfwits. Their program did not work on the Treo so whatever difficulty they had with the Treo has not been corrected on the Centro.

"The Answer to Verizon's Lockdown Tendencies" on by Weudel
Pros: -Full QWERTY keyboard
-Abundance of third party Apps
-Compact size
-full PDA capability
-PRICECons: -small learning curve
-aged OSSummary: While Verizon has long been the best option for me when it comes to network and price since my work uses them almost exclusively, I have always hated the way that they handicap most of their phones to better extract the money from consumers' pockets. So, when it came time to get my semi-annual new phone I tried to find one that would minimize this.
The 1.3 megapixel camera works magnificently... I can use a pic as a wallpaper on a 19" monitor without any pixilation. This far outshines the 1.3 mp on my old LG.
I wanted something with a QWERTY keyboard for messaging without the size of a blackberry. I did my research and chose the Centro because of its size and ability to customize.
I have had it for one day and already have a free app for ringtones, a free app to make it look like an iPhone, and a free app to make the contacts work like an iPhone. Tonight I will be adding in an NES emulator, thus completely eliminating the need to "Get It Now."
Reception and clarity are superb, far eclipsing my LG VX-8600. Messaging is made easy with the full keyboard, and ringtones are clear and loud.
I did not get the phone for the "smart" capabilities and don't have a data plan, so I cannot comment on e-mail or internet.
I would recommend this phone to anyone who needs a messaging phone with wants to be able to customize their experience without giving Verizon a car payment every month.

"The best cell phone I have purchased." on by mwolfer
Pros: - Call quality.
- Bluetooth
- Fast navigation and processing speed.
- Stable system
- Compact
- Camera
- Price
- Excellent picture/video viewer
- MP3 player(built in)
- All the available third party apps
- My life in the palm of my hand ...Cons: - Speakerphone could be better
- Palm needs to add WiFi to the OSSummary: I have been a Palm OS user for 10+ years. This is my second Palm OS Smart Phone. This phone is much more stable than the 650 and processes extremely fast even though I have over 45 different apps installed (most of them are third party applications). I don't use Verizon's internet very often, but when I do, it is very quick. I found it very easy to get used to the keyboard. This is a versatile unit that would be appropriate for a beginner or an advanced user of the Palm OS.

"Piece of trash.. really." on by bbalent
Pros: Chatstyle texting, comact keyboard.
Cons: it FREEZES constantley, it just has to be the slowest palm out there. I can't even pick up calls/texts because it freezes up so bad. It resets data/contacts. Batttery cover is practically impossible to get back on/off
