  • "webOS rocks for developers-they eclipse all other OS's"
    4.5 stars
    on by mwarren_us

Pros: Physically, the Pre's pebble shape, slider design and Touchstone charging lead the smartphone pack. On the inside, Palm's webOS provides developers a world class environment that's rapidly eclipsing the iPhone.

Cons: Palm's open architecture allows you to do things on the Pre that might rapidly drain the battery. Buy a couple of Motorola's micro- to mini- usb adapters for recharging on the go!

Summary: webOS combines a solid Linux OS foundation with the innovative and highly productive Luna application environment. Developers can now create better apps far faster while investing less money and less learning time. The tools available to webOS developers are like power tools while the other smartphone developers are still using hand tools. Watch out Apple/Google/Nokia/Microsoft, webOS developers are going to rock your store.
