"I really, really wanted to like the Pre Plus, but..."2.5 starson by Lefseboy1
Pros: WebOS is smooth and fun to use -- I loved switching between cards. The phone itself feels good in the hand, and the display is wonderfully vibrant. Charging with Touchstone is fantastic. Hot spot function is very good. Not iPhone or Android.
Cons: The keyboard was just too small for my hands and characters didn't register much too often, so I was correcting messages constantly. The applications took frustratingly long to open. Signal strength was often poor, and I had many dropped calls.
Summary: I need a physical QWERTY keyboard for texting and emails, and I knew the Motorola Droid's keyboard wouldn't do, and the LG Ally wasn't available yet from Verizon, so I thought I would try the Pre Plus. I really, really wanted to like the Palm Pre Plus, but, unfortunately, with regard to practical daily functionality, it just didn't cut it for me. Once I got past the wow factor of the pros listed above, I was very frustrated with the phone. Typing, which is very important for me, was a nightmare, so I returned it after two weeks. If a functional QWERTY keyboard is a priority for you, the Palm Pre Plus will be disappointing.
