Pros: The web browser is much like a PC!

Cons: The store bell sound while roaming drove me over the edge, Key board great for a 3 yr old!
Went to sleep before I did at night.

Summary: This phone was supposed to be a replacement for my BlackBerry and all it's glorious lock ups???.....Not!!!!
I loved the web browser just like a Home PC but sadly I had to give this thing back because it would keep annoying me with this store bell and partial blockage of the screen with an error message while roaming with no way to turn it off.
(And yes I did the update and it would still irritate me like a bad rash on my rump!)
It would block the touchscreen to the point dialing was difficult.
Where's the voice recorder? I use silent clips to quite unwanted callers.
It crashed on me a time or two Ironically I would see it before I went to sleep at night! I guess he more tired than I was!
The keys in the tray are wayyy too small for an average size adults hand, rubbery which is good but small.
The touchscreen was awesome in browser mode but dialing needed to be done mostly while in both hands not in a cradle while driving.
Using the touch screen to find numbers too a bit of getting used to but it was nice to speed look for numbers.
Using text was confusing did not know if the msg. went through or not.
I finally gave up and I took it back and swapped for a Palm 755P and it too is urging me to take it back with it's limited browser and just get a cheap cheap phone with a cheap Sprint to Sprint plan just to talk to my family.
Lucky I have service though Verizon too with a BlackBerry Storm or I'd go nutts!!!
I my opinion the whole PalmPre needs to be redesigned!
Any doubts??? I'll put my hand and stand on a stack of Bibles!
All the Sprint advertising hype won't change the physical limitations of this phone.

I agree with you. I bought the pre to replace my blackberry and I regret it. The pre sucks. You can not hear the rings ,it cuts out when you are talking etc.

Had my pre since day 1, sounds like you never even had a pre. My wife and son had theirs a week later. Myself, my wife and son also respectfully disagree with your review. I think your full of it with your verizon. Just agmit you never had a pre.

I have experienced none of the above problems. Sounds to me like a non-owner review.
