"I Love the Crystal Clear Graphics & Sleek Feel of my New Treo 680!"
Pros: Very Fast GPRS browsing, lots of ram, better smart card placement...
Cons: Less battery life, a bit slower loading multiple processes/programs...
Summary: Compared to my boyfriend's Treo 650, my 680 is so much more sleek and sexy to my eyes and my hands. It is faster on-line, and has more ram than his, but it seems to take a bit longer loading programs. He thinks this is due to more background processes happening at the same time? Nevertheless, it rarely crashes on me, and I have all kinds of aftermarket programs loaded on it. The battery life is about as long as my Treo 600, but the 650's battery life is longer. I find that I still can use it solid for a whole day before it runs out on me, and it charges up in less than 30 minutes on a wall charger.
Considering I have been watching full length movies and TV shows on it, (my boyfriend just got me "Borat", and the whole first season of "Grey's Anatomy"), it is by far the coolest phone I have ever owned! I have 10 novels loaded on it so I always have a book with me, and the screen is absolutely a dream to read. I have several audio books, and a couple of Air America "Randi Rhodes" and "Al Franken" podcasts cued up to listen to in my Prius. The only thing it doesn't have is an XM antenna built in, but I can always just download the broadcasts... This phone is a dream.
Oh, and it's also got a video cam that can take 4+ hours of video, depending on the size of your memory card, digital cam with 2X zoom, a audio recorder, and easy to install call recording software available.
I love that fact that Mapquest loads immediately, and combined with Agendus, lets me know where I need to go, how to get there, and what the weather and traffic will be along the way. Unbelievable... all in one sleek little phone. Finally, the Arctic White is so clean and perfect for it.
