"Great phone, don't listen to Cnet!"
Pros: Windows Mobile, EvDO, QWERTY keyboard, touch screen
Cons: Windows Mobile (yes, its a pro and a con)
Summary: Don't listen to Cnet's whining about the 240x240 resolution on the screen. They're idiots; 240x240 is the ONLY resolution available at that size. Obviously can't go up to 320x240 and still keep the Treo form factor; then the screen would be a tall rectangle. The next step up from 240x240 on Windows Mobile is 480x480, which is INSANELY high for a screen thats small. In fact it would be so small, it would be nearly pointless because you couldn't even see all the pixels at normal eye distance. Furthermore, a 480x480 screen of that size doesn't even exist right now. If one was to be produced, it would be EXTREMELY expensive! There are no alternatives! Do your homework Cnet!

To confirm the question about resolution you can yake a look at Moto Q, a rectangle screen! I´ve owned one and change for Treo 700Wx

The 700p and the 650 are both 320 x 320- precise same form factor. Who's the idiot?
-
hey...guess who is the biggest idiot? it's you: screen resolution has got nothing to do with size (inches)!! If what you said is right every time you change the resolution of your PC screen, the size of the screen should shrink or increase...try to get it right next time

What the young lady in the short video review needs to do is carry the 700w,moto Q, MDA,6700 and the treo700wx for a week of power using and get the real feel for the device she,s rating a 7.0 I find her review/rating to lack truth.I give the 700wx a 9.0 out of 10.outstanding device with double the memory and yes it lacks wifi but EV-DO gets it done. And yes dont forget about Sprints upgrade to EV-DO ----wimax to be released within the next 2 years.....Theres you wifi cnet!!!!

All CNET did was complain about the screen, and I agree wholeheartedly with them. It's not like the 700w/wx have been released into a vacuum: the 650 had a 320x320 screen well before either were released.
Then you spent your entire "review" harping rationalizing 240x240. Uh, OK. Maybe for you, but not for me.
Don't blame CNET for a Microsoft problem--it's akin to shooting the messenger. -
What are you talking about, do your homework too! The 700p, TREO FORM FACTOR AND ALL, Has the 320-320, i know windows mobile 5 doens't supposedly support this, but they could obviously reprogram, becuase look at the Q and other smartphones wherte changes were made for the form factor.

320x320 perhaps? lol

If PalmOS can do 320x320, Windows Mobile can be repaired to do so as well. The OS is a part of the phone -- so the lack of a feature in the OS is a lack in the phone, and therefore a good reason to pass it up.
