"Treo Pro is buggy"on by Austin6r
Pros the new mobile IE is awesome! call quality is great, better reception than my old Q.
Cons I've had mine for almost a week now and it's randomly gone into stealth mode twice, no longer ringing and/or vibrating on incoming calls. The only solution is to hard reset and reconfig the phone.
Summary Cant deal with having to hard reset the phone on what seems will be a consistent basis. I'm off to browse for a new phone.
Pros Best looking treo to date.
Cons As stated my 6th phone is on the way. If you have ever dealt with sprint / palm support you can imagine the BS I have gone thru with each and every phone. Every phone shipped had something wrong with it that could not be fixed.
Summary My first phone was great for a while till out of no where it started freezing up alot. Then first thing everyday I had to pull the battery to restart just to recieve calls. There were all kinds of bugs with the first one. Sprint started replacing my phones with remanufactured ones. Every phone I recieved had issues with at least one or more programs that would not run or would freeze the phones. Palm would just tell me I had to replace the phones with no help at all. Palm support is just terrible. Sprint has been great but they are only as good as the junk they send me. I had blackberry with ATT for years and never had to make one support call. I switched to the treo for the idea of having a blackberry with a touch screen. What a mistake. I would urge antone interested in these phones to consider something different. 6 phones in 6 months is just rediculous for any brand of phone, period.
Pros um...not much to type here.
Cons small keyboard makes it hard to text quickly. pictures are not worth taking on this phone. It basically sucks. Dont buy this phone. There are A LOT better options out there.
Summary The most frustrating thing about this phone is that I've had 2 of them now and both of them have worked well for a while and then just start locking up and lagging. I am continuously resetting the phone by removing the battery because it locks up. Also while i'm texting the letters will stop showing up in the phone and i just have to guess that i'm typing correctly. Quite possibly the most annoying phone i've ever owned.
Pros Super fast with email, multi apps, attractive sleek design.
Windows Live automatically imports all your contacts when you enter your ID for both Hotmail/Live Mail and MSN messenger. WOW!
Very customizable home page. Excellent touch screen!
Cons A slightly larger screen and keyboard, but the keyboard is a very accurate compared to HTC Pro's!
A 3.2 meg camera instead of the 2.0 and flash for the camera, would make it perfect.
Summary I bought first day Palm Pro was available in Canada on Telus network. April 2009. after using Palm 700p.
Telus is excellent. Fast, excellent customer service and they know the phone!
I use this for business and am on it all day long for calls, chat, email and its very easy to use with 1 hand for most functions.
1. some apps you cannot cut and paste!?
it would like a 'key' that would be 'right click' equivalent of Windows desktop.
the right click is touch screen option is on the touch screen.
2. overall its an excellent phone. it so fast on the internet, its actually faster than my
2 gig ram laptop! how do they do that?
3. Internet Explorer works great on Windows Mobile 6.1
4. Compared to HTC Pro is way to big and bulky. Next, Palm Pre!
5. Blackberry storm very hard to use touch screen. Other Blackberry's no touch
screen. Palm Pro with Windows Mobile 6.1 is great. Looking forward to using
Pros One handed use - keyboard is always there at the ready, the size is small enough to fit any shirt pocket. The #1 BONUS this phone has is the TRANS-REFLECTIVE SCREEN! Yes boys and girls this phone can be easily used in bright sunlight.
Cons The #1 drawback is WM6.1, the never quite ready for primetime mobile OS. I've had the phone for less than a week and have removed the battery 1/2 dozen times already. (to turn it off/soft reset) This device does not have a real power button.
Summary I actually bought this to replace my aging TP2. I like the fact that I can scroll messages/emails without opening them - a real problem on the touch without the keyboard opened. This phone is more usable in daylight than the TP2, is lighter and has better battery life. The screen is the #1 BEST feature of the phone - you can turn the backlight off in bright environments and still use the phone!
