"I've not bought this (no one has), but want Palm OS"3.5 starson by MaxLaw
Pros: Palm reliability and features galore in a slim phone with a bigger battery! Leaves the instant "sound off" slide switch (great when you are going somewhere where sound is not allowed: Court; movies; church). WiFi? Can't wait to try. (See below)
Cons: Windows Mobile. Windows Mobile. Windows Mobile. Windows Mobile. Windows Mobile. Windows Mobile. Windows Mobile. Windows Mobile. Windows Mobile. (Does this give you an idea of my thoughts?)
Summary: I will buy, paying even the $549 for the unlocked GSM but only when it has a Palm OS. This phone is exciting and innovative, but even my using the Treo 680 gives me enough power for business use. It has a Palm OS and thus I will wait, and wait, and wait....With money in hand...Well....I couldn't wait for the Palm OS variety of the Palm Treo Pro (if the Palm OS ever comes in a Pro) so I bought the Palm Treo Pro with a <gulp> Windows Mobile 6.1 OS. Took some getting used to, and SPB Mobile Shell software ($29.95) for it to feel like home. Can't say that it is so terrible an OS...at least the hardware is Palm (made by HTC, with some Palm tweaks). Try it...you'll like it--I did!
