  • "You can get more than what you pay for with this phone!"
    on by merlise

    Pros - Camera
    - Space
    - Screen-Size
    - Dual-Core Processor (Fast!)
    - Easy to root!

    Cons - Battery Life
    - In-Call Quality
    - Pantech's Skin :/

Summary This phone is AMAZING. I got it a few months ago off of eBay and its one of the best phones I've had. I got it for about 75$ and I got way more than I paid for. It had the ICS update straight out of the box that was good :) The one thing I didn't like was Pantech's skin over it. I recommend that if you get this phone, root it and flash a custom rom. The phone will be like brand new.

I went through three roms (I like testing things out), AOKP, CM10, and Paranoid. For me, CM10 was the winner (AOKP was a close second though). On stock the phone was fast, and on CM10, it's still fast, maybe even faster. I never get lags. Another thing I love is the camera. On stock, the camera was kind of dark but on CM10 pictures look so much better. I have more space than I honestly need for this phone. The speaker is LOUD, so I like it, some may not. The call quality isn't perfect but for me, its good. The battery life is not great but it is bearable. I might try buying a new battery to see if that will help things out.

Overall this is a great phone. Its not the BEST phone, but if you're looking for something cheap that can do the job, I'd recommend this phone. I ditched my broken iPhone 3GS for an HTC Aria. When that broke I got the Pantech Burst spur of the moment and I've been happy ever since.

And to the person who said that if you buy this phone you're a complete moron . . . yeah. No.

  • "Lots of features"
    on by dtechba

    Pros Good screen pretty fast.

Cons Battery life is abysmal. I generally make less than 10 short phone calls a day and send a couple text messages. I might check my email a coupl eo ftimes a day. Despite such low usage the phone will not make it through the day w/o a charge.

Summary Great phone if you never get too far from a charger.

  • "Solid, easy to use, lots of hidden fun extra's."
    on by Yarnbug71

Pros Previous phone android so virtually no setup once I logged into existing accounts. Front and rear facing camera's, large display, easy to use w/menu's similar to other android phones. Battery life is the best I've seen on a smartphone. Clear calls.

Cons Does NOT support visual voicemail, even though I was told it did. When I tried to download the AT&T app on android market it says device not compatible. Two days of solid playing with the phone and that is the only con I have found.

Summary Great phone, especially for the price(I bundled with the Pantech Element Tablet). Previous phone was an HTC Inspire and the menu's were extremely similar, coupled with the linked accounts holding information, I had very little setup. The battery is holding up for an entire day of constant use before needing to get a bit of a charge and the charge time is about half what I was used to. Calls are clear, the display is great, the screen is very slick and easier to clean than past phones, lightweight, stylish, several pre-installed apps that are fun and/or useful. Definitely worth the $49 by it self or the $250 bundled with the tablet.
