"Pretty darn good phone & PDA"
Pros: Thanks RIM for the Firmware upgrade
Cons: Need more short cut keys
Summary: I was ready to sell my 7105 and go back to my 7780 but I felt I should give it another try. RIM was introducing the BB Pearl and I felt these guys would only be doing this if they knew what they were doing. I am a fairly seasoned BB user. I know all of the short cuts for the full qwerty BB?s so I could accomplish quite a bit with very few keystrokes. I however found myself switching to the 7105 when I wanted something smaller and sexier. The 7105 though just didn?t feel right. It seemed to take to many keystrokes to do the same things. I discovered that RIM had introduced a firmware upgrade. RIM?s upgrades have always been worthwhile so it didn?t take much convincing to install it. It fixed some problems strangely mostly with synching with outlook, it also gave better suretype and a convenience key. Once this installed, I figured out how the engineers meant the 7105 to be used and I like it. I haven?t used my 7780 in a while.
