"take away wi-fi and you have a sub-par product"
Pros: wifi, more device options from t-mobile
Cons: carrier has poor overall cell coverage
Summary: T-Mobile is a 3rd-rate service provider in NYC due to its poor coverage and glacial data speeds (GPRS). If you can't get a wi-fi signal, this device can't hold a candle to its EDGE based sibling from AT&T, much less the CDMA based models from Sprint or Verizon.
Also, if you happen to have a wi-fi signal you can connect to, watch your battery. The longer you use it on WLAN B/ G networks, the faster you drain your battery.
