"Extremely unfriendly to use."
Pros: Price. Display
Cons: HORRIBLE to type on. Still can't add a new contact or type an e-mail. Poor software applications on my PC desktop- no calendar or contacts applic for the PC to sych to BB. Hate it.
Summary: Can't understand why a PDA doesn't have a program for calendar, contacts, etc that you can access on the PC for easier typing then synch to the BB. Typing is extremely frustrating due to MANY errors. My old Sony PDA is so much easier to operate. I'll give this piece of junk a week to see if it's manageable...but it's probably going back to the store.
Updated on Dec 12, 2008Returned it after 1 frustrating week. Accoding to the tech rep I called, it only synchs to Outlook for calendar. (no calendar program included with its software) Well, in picked up my Contacts and Memos from a Palm program on my PC. Then it later downloaded my Outlook Express address list and co-mingled it with Palm list, totally messing up my Outlook Express address book on my PC and on the Storm. Pick a name and you never knew if it was a Contact or a phone list name. Never did get it to type well. Try logging on to a web site- letters too small to read. Maybe generation 2 or 3 will work better. Couldn't wait to get it out of my house.

I don't know what you're trying to do but you might want to try reading the user manual or something. I didn't have to but maybe for you it might be helpful. The storm has all those things you mentioned...

What are you talking about... The storm syncs with Outlook, Firefox and other Email and contact managers. Load the software, set up the sync parameters and your good to go. Typing is easy once you spend some time with it. also, turn off the auto correction feature in Email option, spell checking. That way you will get a more consistent typing experience. The Auto correct is a little too aggressive and not always right.
